Wh Sox biggest haul is SS Joendy Vargas the number 11 prospect in what is considered the top minor league system in the game.

Vargas would make this deal look a whole lot better.  He'd a dude who could explode.

None of this makes sense.  If this was the deal, why wouldn't Friedman take Fedde and Pham as well?  Cards gave up nothing. 

Either way this is fucking horrendous and we can now confirm Getz is as bad as we feared. This deadline might do it for me if this is how it's gonna go.

yes.  They thought they were getting our old Luis Basabe, but accidentally traded for his brother of the same name but different middle name LOL

Haha, so our awesome GM actually packaged up three assets for this garbage return?  Way to maximize value.

Lot of negativity on Miguel Vargas for a 24 year old with less than a year of MLB experience, not-that-horrible production in MLB, and fantastic minor league production

This trade is so bad that soxtalk is holding out hope that Bruce Levine is right and everyone else wrong. Things have really sunk deep.

Even if it is just the younger Vargas the scope of the deal changes.  But most likely Bruce is having a senior moment.
