Man, that Pedro Grifol hire was horrible. They had guys like Bruce Bochy and Matt Quatraro available for the taking and they went with the KC bench coach. 

Moving forward, can they at least learn from this and bring in people from winning organizations instead? That tends to have a higher probability of yielding better results.

Over 100 games under .500 in under two seasons.  That is so absurdly bad, like it is hard to comprehend how hard that is to do.

I might even be a bit more excited, but I am sure our choices going forward are either Montoyo or Tony's boy Schumaker.

I know we joke about guys never working again after managing the White Sox, but I hope this dude saves his money, because I can't imagine who could look at the nuclear destruction of a back to back playoff team that happened under his watch, and thinking that is who I want leading my 2 billion dolllar operation.

It’s the White Sox.  They made this move already knowing who they will hire as the next manager.  The Sox don’t do the whole “interview process.”
