Only took until the middle of August to get Fletcher on the field.  Good work fellas.

What about the GM who traded Mena for Dominic Fletcher instead of the better outfielder offered by the Dbacks in Jake McCarthy, and who could only get back Vargas as a headliner in return for Fedde an

Uhhhh DUHHHHHHHHHHH

About a hundred games late there geniuses...

Grifol did almost as much damage to the org as Hahn/Haber and boy that's hard to believe.

Fletcher definitely needs to play almost every day.  It can only help his development.  He may not end up being much, but sitting on the bench 75% of the time isn't going to help figure out how good he can be.  He seems to have the energy in the OF and has made some good plays.  Hopefully his bat can come around a bit.

As far as Vargas, I think we were under the assumption that he would get much more playing time with the Sox than he did in LA.  That really hasn't happened yet.  Again, like Fletcher, he needs to be playing consistently to see what he has.

Same needs to happen for Colas unless he is just going to be gone one day.

Grifol did almost as much damage to the org as he did to his own career.

It seems that way. Trade him for some PTBNL or DFA him in offseason if you aren't even going to play him in this lost year.

You're right, it's hard to believe, because it's utter nonsense. I know the powers that be want to pin it all on Pedro. Get real. The manager makes a 2-3 game difference at best and if the powers that be wanted "their guys" playing more you know they were free to call him into their office and/or fire him long before August.

Not to mention how much of the season Fletcher was in AAA anyway.  Newsflash, the manager isn't responsible for roster moves.

Without his veteran leadership, they might have had the worst record in baseball.....I mean the worsterest record in baseball.

But what about that fire and leadership he taught to the team?

Feeder system for the Cards.

Fedde not exactly leading them to the WC so far, though.

Yes, all three of them are right there on Getz’s heels.

The White Sox didn’t mismanage their way to being the worst team anyone alive has ever seen. But he didn’t help. It’s hard to be angry about any one particular thing as the scapegoat

How many other bums will he blame before he finally has to admit that Getz was the problem all along?

If he continues to own the club, JR probably won't "blame" Getz for three years at least.

I was actually referring to the poster Harold based on his earlier post in this thread.  But your point remains…

To be fair we were competing and had playoff hopes until just recently.
