Pending the Geneva Convention saying that putting the Sox on TV isn't Torture.

Comcast picking up Sox games after the team has proven they are slightly better than last year’s team but will still lose 100+ games.  🤣

I could understand if they said "Starting next year, no more antenna" but to take it away 3 months later with zero notice is just a complete disregard for the customers.

So we all have to buy an antenna in March to watch the White Sox only for 3 months later to be told it's not available anymore and we have to get a carrier to watch baseball?  Jerry Reinsdorf can suck

Well that moved quickly

And it remains free over the air? Nice.

Their advertising revenue has to be at an all time low. Top Notch Burgers ads? High School sports can get that. Maybe this will help them.

Xfinity’s Ultimate tier “will cost customers an additional $20 per month.” Customers “had been receiving a monthly credit of $8.85 to offset the loss of NBC Sports Chicago,” which went off the air Sept. 30. While CHSN will air on the Ultimate tier, the Cubs’ Marquee Sports Network is “expected to remain on the Popular tier through the season and move to the Ultimate tier before next season” (CHICAGO SUN-TIMES, 6/5).

Looks like the White Sox capitulated

"A major hurdle in discussions has been the issue of channel placement, according to a source close to the negotiations. Cable providers have increasingly moved to place regional sports networks in premium tiers or packages that come at a higher cost to consumers. CHSN’s goal is to be available to as many fans as possible, the source said.

CHSN has agreed to lower rights fees from Comcast, but has been unwilling to accept Comcast’s proposal to place CHSN on the cable service’s highest tier, the source said. NBC Sports Chicago, the previous broadcast home to the three teams, had been on Comcast’s middle tier."

Looks like the White Sox capitulated

"The agreement will relegate the Chicago Sports Network to the “Ultimate” tier of Xfinity TV, the most-expensive pay TV package offered by Comcast, WMAQ reported. By contrast, NBC Sports Chicago was offered on the “Popular” tier until it shut down last year. The Popular tier is less-expensive than the Ultimate plan. Marquee Sports Network, which offers Chicago Cubs baseball games, is expected to stay on the Popular plan.

Comcast subscribers who pay for the Ultimate tier of Xfinity TV will be able to watch games through their set-top boxes, and will also have access to the Chicago Sports Network app with their Xfinity TV credentials.

Frugal sports fans can watch the Chicago Sports Network in the Chicago area on two digital sub-channels of WJYS (Channel 62) when they install an antenna in the back of their TVs. They can also purchase a standalone subscription to the streaming version of Chicago Sports Network, which costs $20 per month."

...only for the remainder of this season and it'll move over to the "ultimate tier" before next season according to your previous post.

The days of having cable/streaming providers pass along RSN fees to all their customers whether they want it or not are over.

Is it really better when the background men say “THE WHITE SOX ARENT TAKING THAT” 😂

It’s kind of funny thinking about watching our 80s 90s commercials and watching the Cellozzi Ettlesons and Max Madsons and Empire Carpet Guy get old but damn those commercials never changed 😂

empires will rise and fall in the time it takes for him to complete this sale.  This really provides no increased comfort to me.  It's status quo.  JR signature will not be on those closing papers.

Can confirm the OTA channel is back to some bs infomercial programming. From the bottom of my heart, suck it Comcast.

It was a sad day for me when Bob ROHRMAN passed away in 2020…

This is how I’m reading it, yes. They go from wanting to make it available and free to everyone to no longer believing that the second they get Comcast.

f*** these guys.

I told all of you this was happening 😂

If the holdup for Comcast was it being available on antenna, then CHSN should have never done that in the first place and just put it on Comcast to begin with.

Just the absolute worst organization. They always find new, creative ways to say “f*** you” to their most loyal followers
