The 78 makes so much sense.  This is a stupid idea.

False! There's at least one! I grew up in AH/BG, and my mom still lives there and she's a fan lol.

At least two if you count me. I live ten minutes from there.

I’m not so sure about that. The suburbs are much different than the Northside/Southside city dynamic. It’s very blended between Sox and Cubs fans.
If you build the next stadium in the Chicagoland area, Sox fans will show up from all over. What’s a better suburban alternative? Schaumburg? Naperville?

When and if Ishibia takes over, I’m sure he will want to build a Soxtown around his new stadium. I’m not so sure he can do that if he shares an Arlington heights site with the Bears?

Naperville would be good, Tinley would be amazing

I'd hate to see a great city like Chicago lose a stadium to the burbs.

Unless JR is willing to put up a LOT of his own money this will be a difficult sell... doesn't matter if it is downtown in the current location or in any suburb.

Deep southwest suburbs is the only place that would make sense that isn't the city. But the city just makes sense so.

Tinley Park, right off of 80.  Tons of Sox fans still out there.

The Sox and Bears both belong in Arlington or Naperville. Bears have all this land in Arlington to build a Cowboys-like compound. The Sox need to get out of a city with major major problems and head to suburbia. Go in with the Bears for sure.

Now you've done it.

I think the City should just annex Arlington Heights. It's a pointless place. It only exists to siphon off tax revenue to spend on...god knows what

NW burbs i see a lot of sox hats.

Most suburbs exist because enough rich people moved somewhere to say they don't live in Chicago.

Grew up and lived in TP my whole life until last October, when I moved more south to Manhattan. I approve them coming closer to Tinley lol

I thought the idea was to be located in a convenient place.

IMO, we've moved past this.  At this point, it'll all be about whether the team is eventually sold to Ishbia and whether the Ishbia brothers will make a privately-funded stadium at The 78 happen.

I think JR knows that his publicly funded stadium fantasy is DOA, too.  That's why he approached Ishbia about increasing his stake in the franchise.

Does that include 1990ish Cindy Crawford, DeKalb native?

Agreed. Easy access for me. Lots of room out here.
