6/1 Sox @ Orioles 12:35 PM

Recommended Posts

Circle July 4th through the 6th on your calendar...that is when this putrid Sox team will likely get swept by the Rockies.

Let's face it,  as much as we THINK we are better than last yr, we in fact are only marginally better. Like 1 or 2 wins better

I really thought that after that last game with the Mets that they were going to go on a bit of a roll. Again I was duped.

Still at single digit wins.  Wow.

They are currently matching the Cleveland Spiders.

The worst Sox stretch last year (according to Reddit) was 8-52. The Rockies are 1 game better than that.

By the numbers:

Sox have scored a total of four runs in the three Houser starts.

White Sox are 3-15 in games decided by one-run.

White Sox have scored three runs or less in 38 of the 59 games played (64.4%)

White Sox have now lost 13 games this year where an opponent scored three runs or less.

"Supposedly" this team is better than last year. Maybe in some very slight peripheral areas but overall they still are disgustingly putrid.

Unfortunately Vargas back on third where he belongs will justify bringing Albino back.

Has it dawned on you  that this organization doesn't care if it keeps losing games? The team lost 121 games last year and did nothing to improve the team  this past off season. All they had to do is spend some money on some hitters and this team wouldn't be 3-15 in one run games. The main objective  for this ownership is to get the payroll as low as possible.

It's wrong on so many levels. For instance the Royals got well when they mauled the Sox all four games in that series. Now the Royals have reverted back to their lousy team and desperately need to play the Sox again to get back on track. We're single handedly affecting pennant races by our lousiness.

I'd feel so much better as a fan if the commissioner reprimanded the organization or took away our first round pick as a penalty for this b.s. brand of baseball rosters. Sox are so bad the only player allegedly worth anything in a trade is a .180 hitter. Good thing these pitchers have been good this year cause the everyday lineup blows, even tho it's better than last year's lineup.

I'm just producing numbers that counter at least somewhat what others have been saying about 'real progress.'

In my opinion there really hasn't been progress save for some marginal inconsequential areas.

Regarding your first sentence. As I've said for literally years JR wants to win BUT he wants to win HIS WAY which simply does NOT work. His ego and arrogance doesn't allow him to understand that or change that especially when, again in my opinion, he continues to make money and continues to feel that players are overpaid and what is needed to "save" baseball is a salary cap.

In short no real major changes in the overall philosophy or the organization will take place until new ownership arrives.

Until then you deal with the situation as best as you can.

According to the broadcast, except for Robert, every hitter is redhot. Every pitcher is nails, and they are somehow on a 49 win pace. This organization totally sucks.

Yep, you wouldn’t have any idea this team was 18-41 only listening to the broadcast

Too bad Tauchman is 34. He seems hitterish. Do I need to add him to the list of current Sox I like? Right now it's him, Meidroth, Beni and Quero. I don't really care about any of our pitchers. Should I? Houser (is he related to Dick) had a nice line today.

Howser...who just might be the most valuable trade candidate if he can sustain 95-97 velo through June as a starter.

Detroit will take 3/4 or maybe sweep us at home.  Just when you think we are at a low point, the hole gets deeper.

I keep forgetting to watch them to see if they are that good.

Imagine if the Sox were in the NL West.......or the NL

Couldn’t be any worse than the 2-14 they are against the ALC
