If Kansas is acting bossy, that will seal the deal for Missouri to keep 'em. The Chiefs got a sweetheart deal. Will Kansas offer the Royals a similar offer now that they've got the NFL? I read where they are going to knock down Arrowhead stadium when the Chiefs leave. It will cost at least $150 million dollars to knock it down. You think it would have been better to work something out with the Chiefs and have the team stay in KC/Missouri.

How is it states make money building stadiums for these teams? If it is so lucrative why does the state still owe more money for Comiskey Park II and the Soldier Field renovation than the total cost of their construction? 1

I don't disagree with your overall point, but what is owed on New Comiskey is a fraction of what the state still owes for the Soldier Field renovations. Lumping them together is akin to saying the Dodgers owe a total of $765M for the combined contracts of Shohei Ohtani and Teoscar Hernandez. The only reason Sox Park is owed anything is because of the renovations.
WBWSF
KC is going to knock down the Chiefs stadium and its going to be one empty lot. It will not be receiving any tax revenue. I've been under the impression that the Chiefs ownership would have stayed at Arrowhead Stadium if there would have been renovations done to it. That didn't happen and they are now moving west/out of state. And it should mentioned that Arrowhead Stadium and the parking around it is much better than Soldier Field. 77 Hitmen
It looks like North Kansas City/Clay County, Missouri has closed the book on negotiations for a possible new Royals stadium. That would leave the city of KC, MO as the only viable option for a new ballpark, which is what the team probably ultimately wants anyway. https://fox4kc.com/sports/royals/nkc-royals-ballpark-negotiations-a-closed-chapter-county-commissioner/

(January 6) I wonder if that happened. The Bears stadium issue seems to have become very quiet.

Just stop. 😄 But...but...but weren't the rumors saying the Sox were moving to Nashville? 😉 The Bears Stadium issue is quiet because they have ZERO leverage and until they figure out a way to pay off the Soldier Field debt they aren't getting much sympathy from the politicians. And they know it. Like it or not their immediate future says they'll be playing in Soldier Field no matter how much they huff and puff or pout about it. With as many teams as aren't located in their proper city's anymore, I do not think this is true. Sure as heck hasn't harmed the Jets, Cowboys, Giants, Commanders, Rams, Chargers, 49ers, Bills or Dolphins. Why are the Bears different. To be clear, I do not think it happens, though I think Indiana will be perfectly willing to throw a ton of money and resources at the Bears to make Chicago/Illinois bid up.
