To build a 100 million dollar home next to the team you just bought and then...move them to a shittier market? well, the home means literally nothing and, while the market means slightly more, you know the Cubs play here right? And people prefer them generally? And there are a lot of cities, ie Nashville, where people watch sports on TV and look at advertisements and have available land for an arena. Also the guy is just bad at sports management. He bought the Suns when they were a title contender and took them back into mediocrity. The grass is not always greener, it's one idiot or another, and this guy has a track record in sports.
mmmmmbeeer
This is amazing news. I’m so happy right now. Like everyone on this board, I’ve loved the Sox for a very long time and recognize the damage that piece of s%*# has caused over the years, even sabotaging his own team’s World Series hopes to save money. I haven’t watched a full game in like 2 years. I refuse to watch something that just pisses me off. With that asshole leaving, I’ll actually be able to watch and spend money on my favorite team again, things I’ve seriously missed. good riddance. 4 1

Bench warmer on MSU basketball team just hired an MSU buddy to coach Suns. Justin was a baseball guy. Time will tell. 1

You aren't moving a team from Chicago to Nashville. It's just not happening. MLB wouldn't let it happen, either. 1 2

I'm expecting this ball club to atleast be alot better by 2027. 4 years is best case scenario. Could be 2034. And it’s not like Reinsdorf is the type to give up control early. As long as he’s alive I guess.

Attempting to throw as much money around as possible to get players but there's constraints in basketball that just don't let you do that. Unless MLB is implementing a salary cap anytime soon we could see them in a whole new section of the free agent market in short order. And if he wanted to buy a team for cheap to move, he'd have bought the Twins. He's willing to wait 9 more years because he wants CHICAGO.
