I really don’t see how the Sox win a game in this series unless one of the Yankee starters has a really bad outing.  Sox just don’t beat good teams..

That would put them 41 games under .500

It’s amazing how much this team has lost the last two years.

is it so much the team beating the Sox as much as the Sox losing to a team

Maybe we can package 6 utility infielders for one good regular lol?

He's an OBP machine and good defender. He might be a starter. I agree with you in the sense that he's probably a good trade chip when paired with other lower tier prospects; better than Banks certainly. A different rebuilding team might trade for him with, you know, 5 other players.

105:82 BB/K ratio is pretty good. Absolutely no power. He's probably Nicky Lopez.

Again, not hindsight. Just like the Cease trade, the Booser trade was bad as soon as it was announced.

I somewhat understood the Booser trade because he had a lot of team control and was a “fresh” arm despite being older. Thought there was at least a possibility they could flip him for something better. But needless to say it hasn’t worked out.

There's that old Cub saying wait till next year - most likely another 100 season but we will be giddy if they only lose 99

team control as in helping the team be in control of being bad

there so many terms today that try to replace the word suck

Vargas has said a number of times he wants to play 3rd base full time. If he would have played 3rd base tonight he would not have gotten hurt. I hope he's not out  of action for any amount of time. I remember in 1973 Dick Allen got hurt on the same type of play and was out the rest of the season.

That would put them on a 38.5% win rate since the vaunted May 1st which is a 100 loss pace.

Facts are a glass half-empty perspective…can’t blame the “stand-in” April team, as they couldn’t waste another year.

Outside of the personal impact, who really cares?

Him playing won't prevent this team from losing 100 games again.

Since 2018 this organization can't seem to go a week without someone getting hurt, it is what it is.

Three errors tonight, Sosa with another one and they still had a chance until this wretched bullpen came into play in the last two innings.

Only a month to go before this abomination ends.

Most of our recent losses are because of the bullpen imploding.

I’m not sure what they can do with Sosa, no matter what position he plays he’s a butcher.

Injuries are mounting up, Vargas with a wrist injury, Monty might actually be having oblique issues, Tauchman has been been hurt just about from the beginning of the season and of course it’s the same old story with Robert. I also have a hunch Quero might be banged up as Teel is doing most of the catching.

Cliff Floyd injury was the worst.

Yep, but instead of a wrist injury, Allen had his leg broken after a collision with Mike Epstein on a wide throw from Bill Melton.
Allen was on his way to another great season and the Sox were in the race but folded after Allen was done for the season.

That’s the year when 55,555 showed up at old Comiskey for a Sunday DH in May, largest home crowd in the history of the franchise.

Thought about going to tonight’s game. They want 30 bucks for 500 level seats.

Get fucked. Not sure I’ll even make it to my third game this season. My apathy for this team knows no bounds.

That's It's 25 degrees outside, pricing

After the recent talks about the pen sporting a middle of the pack ERA I actually went through and looked it up.

After the last couple of days, the Sox are 19th in MLB in pen ERA at 4.14.

It gets interesting when you look at a xFIP of 4.57, good for 28th, and FIP of 4.22 good for 21st.  Lucky seems to be the most accurate word.

I saw the 4 game series in New York with Boston and Boston took 3 out of 4. Yankees should be able to at least give one game to White Sox this weekend especially with their poor defense and bullpen.

The only thing to be done with Sosa is to trade him in the off season. He should bring back something decent in return.

Unfortunately the era of the no glove, all bat, player is pretty much dead.  These guys have next to no value on the trade market.  Sosa probably has the most value to the White Sox.
