Looks like the Mets didn't find a magic path forward on injuries. I wish the dude luck.

Luis Robert won't be on the next good White Sox team. Acuna and Pauley might be. It's basically that simple. The league just told you what Robert is worth. Holding him into the season would be insane.

He has a herniated disc. FFS man. Oh well at least we got something for him. He's done.

He's been done. The years of playing through injuries just fried Eloy, Yoan, TA, and Luis. It's why waiting years to trade him was always stupid. Dude had an injury history going all of the way back to Rookie ball.

That involves either surgery or a very long rehab process with no guarantees.

Bad trade all the way around BUT I am glad Robert is no longer a White Sock.

And to think people wanted to keep him. This is what Robert is. The guy just simply cannot stay healthy.

That first rebuild was cursed.

it is fairly insane that 4 guy all rated in the top 30 prospect list at one point are all basically out of baseball in Moncada, Eloy, Robert and Kopech.

Robert sounds like he's cooked. A bad disc? He'll be lucky to get a MLB gig next year if he can't workout for 6 months.

I wanted to keep him because we weren't going to get anything valuable for him at this point. That ship had sailed. I'd rather bet on him being a somewhat valuable player than whatever we'd get.

I’m a little surprised Kopech hasn’t signed anywhere. He had like a 1.5 ERA as a Dodger. Solid in the playoffs.

His heart never seemed all the way into after the injuries, maybe he's just enjoying life peacefully. Hopefully.

While many other guys got knocked for work ethic and attitude, Kopech definitely wasn't the most dedicated or coachable guy from the sounds of it. He could well be standing in a hole of his own making.

Knee and arm issues, and is kind of an odd guy. The other injury risk the Sox acrually maxed the value was Crochet. He was always hurt, then miraculously was great as a starter for about half a season, while just getting through the second half. Got a haul for him, had a great year, but now hurrt again, and probably not the same moving forward, but he got $170 million.

And if you keep peeling: TA: out of baseball, Giolito: no contract until well into April
