I only listened to the last third, which was Jim and James' takes on where the Sox farm system is, now. They both put it middle third, but say the Sox have finally gotten to the point where they can see how far behind they are because of the failure of International. They won't catch up from the draft and Rule 5 guys. They need to be pumping Latino and Asian dudes through to have a stream of bullpen arms and utility guys which they just don't have now.

The thing Bruce is quoting Getz on is in the context of Getz being asked whether they're looking at playing Teel in the outfield or Quero perhaps some other place and he was poo-pooing those ideas specifically. I don't think it's meant as a statement about whether they might get some DH reps (although it won't shock me if they ultimately decide not to use the DH slot to give them ABs).

Shortly before the 10 minute mark, Getz called Acuna a switch hitter. From everything I see, he only hits right handed. Wonder if it's something he's working on or if Getz just misspoke.

Did Acuna ever switch hit in his life to where he could be starting to again or does Getz just think he’s a switch hitter?

Edit: apparently he’s never switch hit in a professional game.
