The new stadium won't begin to take place until the new owner takes over. Also, the South Loop 78 site has been empty forever. I wonder why the Bears didn't want to build a new stadium there years ago.

Forget it.There is zero places where a guy makes a commitment on a 2 billion dollars with zero say on the present situation of the company. They have to say stuff like this because of the tax implications of turning over control prematurely, but don't suffer from the delusion that he's not involved at all. That's not how this works in reality.

What is up with this lineup?Thursday Venable said he wanted to separate the three lefties in the lineup and today he puts them all together lolI'm going to assume it's what all losing teams do. ST wasn't enough time to experiment

All of the sudden he's the one making moves.

5 hours ago5 hr Gotta say for the division in the dumos crowd... As a believer in Taj Bradley and still a believer in Zebby Mathews and Mick Abel, the Twins rotation has a ton of upside.
5 hours ago5 hr Getz has assembled an excellent AA-AAA team with few exceptions this year. Too bad the Sox didn't open their season against the Mets, who would have set a team record for most runs scored on opening day. Don Luis went 2-4 with 2 RBI, but looked absolutely horrible in his last AB - swinging K. I'll be rooting for the Sox every game, of course, but it's going to be a long, painful season. Again.

What else can it be?I don't disagree with you, but when you see the San Diego Padres get sold for over 3 billion dollars you have to realize that Jerry probably cost himself hundreds of millions of dollars, hell maybe a billion, in his short-sightedness.
4 hours ago4 hr Did some entity just upgrade their database to be able to search for "first of all time"?

The main way for him to make money now is by having low payrolls.
