He got pretty banged up back there behind the plate on Thursday so maybe that's why they're giving him an extra day of rest.

Is it still spring training? What is up with this lineup? Thursday Venable said he wanted to separate the three lefties in the lineup and today he puts them all together lol

Ishbia has nothing to say abut anything for several years. Forget it.

How does that help them get a new stadium though?

The new stadium has nothing to do with the present ownership. The new stadium won't begin to take place until the new owner takes over. Also, the South Loop 78 site has been empty forever. I wonder why the Bears didn't want to build a new stadium there years ago.

So what's the advantage of deliberately/actively trying to lose 100 again when draft position locked in outside the Top 9 picks???

Peters is going to hit a homer and Sox win 6-4.

There is zero places where a guy makes a commitment on a 2 billion dollars with zero say on the present situation of the company. They have to say stuff like this because of the tax implications of turning over control prematurely, but don't suffer from the delusion that he's not involved at all. That's not how this works in reality.

I'm going to assume it's what all losing teams do. ST wasn't enough time to experiment

He absolutely seems to be spearheading the stadium project if you are paying attention and reading between the lines. All of the sudden he's the one making moves.

So does Meidroth or Mune take the HR lead? Never thought that was possible,

It was one game. What exactly wasn't possible?

I just think it was funny. The Meidroth HR looks more like AI than reality.

Here's hoping we look half as good as Charlotte did last night.

Ripped from the Bold Predictions thread. I love it.

Gotta say for the division in the dumos crowd... As a believer in Taj Bradley and still a believer in Zebby Mathews and Mick Abel, the Twins rotation has a ton of upside.

a breaking ball

Getz has assembled an excellent AA-AAA team with few exceptions this year. Too bad the Sox didn't open their season against the Mets, who would have set a team record for most runs scored on opening day. Don Luis went 2-4 with 2 RBI, but looked absolutely horrible in his last AB - swinging K. I'll be rooting for the Sox every game, of course, but it's going to be a long, painful season. Again.

Bad team+ low payroll for JR. Low payroll=more money in JRs pocket. Does anybody disagree with me on this subject? What else can it be?

Tanner MacDougall pitches tonight for Charlotte (you can watch the games for 5.99/mo, not bad)

OF is pure minor league. Four years of Getz worse than ever.

The "screw the old guys, play the kids" and "why is this young nobody starting" guys all seem to be the same people.

I don't disagree with you, but when you see the San Diego Padres get sold for over 3 billion dollars you have to realize that Jerry probably cost himself hundreds of millions of dollars, hell maybe a billion, in his short-sightedness.

Did some entity just upgrade their database to be able to search for "first of all time"?

JRs short sightedness has cost him alot of money. The main way for him to make money now is by having low payrolls.
