May 26May 26 Down to 10th in fWAR for position players at 7.1, 9th in wrC+ at 104. Defense been slipping last few games, down to -.9.8 runs below average and 18th in MLB.Pitching fWAR is 19th at 4.1.Be nice to slap the crap out of the Twins the next couple games and improve those numbers.
May 28May 28 I’d like to see us sign Trevor Bauer. Hell, he’d pitch for free and would not only give us another powerful starting pitcher but he would help elevate our entire staff. The dude got a bad wrap and has been throwing darts. He’s also like having a pitching ninja secondary coach on your staff.Make that move, bring in an actual DH, call up B Mont later in the year, bring Teel up, and we would be a legit threat to win it all.
May 28May 28 The most encouraging thing is except for Davis Martin, and maybe Munes HR rate no one is really playing way above reality. And Munes HR rate might be sustainable.

June 1Jun 1 So, here's my little story with this team. I live in SoCal and cancelled MLB.TV during the 121 loss season. I still followed team news, every box score, etc. I was asked constantly asked by friends when I'd cave and order it again. Well, I made it to this season and back in March. I said "I don't think we'll be THAT bad this year. However, I will order MLB.TV again when the White Sox are .500 or better in June".I made it to May. lol. I'm really enjoying this club. Put it this way. The gauntlet of a schedule that we face in June? With no Murakami as well? (I do like Gonzalez, FWIW) If we play .500 or better in June? We're probably going to be in this for the long haul. I don't know if we have the firepower yet to beat Cleveland for the division. Given the outlook of the AL right now, though? We can certainly hunt down a wild card spot if we win 85-86 games. I would think. That would be a big victory for this team. Playoff baseball!? Don't get my hopes up, but I get excited thinking about it.

But I also think, given the weakness of this division and the flaws in all the other teams, that 84 wins probably wins the division. At what point do we actually start to take this seriously. I'm very encouraged by what I see from the offense and it's impossible to understate just how badly we have been missing a player like Mune for quite some time. Had we had that profile of slugger in 2021, we may have won the World Series that year. At the very least, I would like to see ownership have to make a tough decision about going for it this year.I’m starting to believe, June is a pivotal month. I’ve looked at the schedule really hard and think that the Sox can go 12-14 in June, If they do they have a chance at a WC. Looking at the rest of the schedule I think the Sox can wind up with an 85-77 record which this year should probably get them a WC spot. Naturally what they have to do is just play consistently good baseball and of course avoid prolonged losing streaks, prolonged winning streaks will help.
Wednesday at 05:47 PM5 days Still 8th in position player fWAR and wRC+. 15th in pitching fWAR. Basically we've had some bad sequencing luck (or if you prefer puckering with RISP) on both ends in this shitty Twins series so far. Need to try and salvage one today.
Wednesday at 10:16 PM5 days I beleive in this team. I think they can get in the playoffs. I don't think many other White Sox fans believe in this team yet. Going on ticketmaster it looks like most of the Dodgers series will have big crowds. As of now it looks like small crowds against the Braves. Alot of fans are still not sold on this team.

Alot of fans are still not sold on this team.Saturday against the Dodgers is already sold out. (Looks to be about 30 odd tickets left) I think Friday night will be too and Sunday will easily be 30k+. Will be curious what the Tues-Thurs games against the Braves look like. All 3 are night games and all 3 have at least one promo ($5 Tuesday, Pride night, Greek Heritage night) Tues-Thurs last week drew ~15k/game.Sox attendance is up +4,592 YOY. Even if you factor out the Cubs series its still +2,687 YOY. I think fans are starting to believe.

Wednesday at 11:09 PM5 days I'll be at that Saturday game against the Dodgers. Bought the tickets a while back so at the time I just wanted to see Murakami vs Ohtani and now I possibly may not see either. 🤣 BUT.. the Sox were not this good at the time I bought the tickets so I will gladly take that. Alot of fans are still not sold on this team.A lot of fans have been through this cycle before. "Multiple Championship Seasons" weren't that long ago. I think what I'm liking the most is an attitude change. It's tough to tell from watching on TV but the team seems to be playing with some intensity. I'm just not seeing some of the half ass plays like the past few years. While it's easy to credit winning for that, I think we've actually drafted some players with better attitudes than we've had in the past.
Thursday at 12:10 AM5 days Without Mune for 6-8 weeks or maybe longer, it becomes harder to believe that the White Sox can win the Division. Mune was a Game changer.

Thursday at 02:46 AM5 days I just bought 6 White Sox hats to basically begin my wearable collection. So, they’re back. 😆Search New Era Warehouse for hats 50 to 60 percent off.I got all 6 for a total below $120 with tax and shipping included.

You're probably talking a game where JR makes 4x revenue a random 15k draw with a bad Sox team playing ____.And the dumb f*** wants to cap what elite FO like the Dodgers can spend so those fans come to your park. The Dodgers are good for baseball. Full stop. Ohtani going there opened the Golden Goose for MLB with far east popularity and a resurgence here in US among casuals. I do think Ohtani has a chance to have a MJ like impact for Dodgers and MLB before he hangs it up.And our guy Mune could have a Minoso or Jose Abreu like career and open up that market forever to Chicago like Cuba. Thursday at 12:42 PM5 days The next 12 games are going to be really tough, if they could win 6 it would be great, even 5 wouldn’t be all that bad. If they are still a couple games over .500 2 weeks from now we have to believe that these guys are for real especially with Mune and Teel still out, if those 2 are back in the lineup by July the Sox can really be dangerous in the second half.
