Game 2 Twins at White Sox 6:40 Ryan vs. Burke

Featured Replies

Probably the toughest game in the series, with Davis Martin scheduled for tomorrow.

White Sox winners of 8 of last 11 at home, and three in a row....including 7 consecutive over the Twins.

Part of that was a four game sweep at Minnesota after the trade deadline.

51-23 RS RA during that seven game stretch.

Minnesota the betting favorite today due to Joe Ryan.

Sox 23rd in attendance, ahead of CLE MIN KC PIT, etc.

On pace for 1.65-1.80 million depending on how the rest of the season goes in terms of the playoff and WC races.

Cubs down to 11th here.

That means the White Sox sold an average of 17,848 tickets per home game last year. They're currently at over 20k fans per game already in 2026.

1,445,750 tickets sold was an increase of 65,000 from the attendance in 2024 (1,380,733) when the Sox set the record from the most losses in a single season.

The problem is that it isn't that the ump is awful, it's that they have to be drug out as the "female" ump. Talk about her skill all you like, but dragging out her gender with it is crap. No one ca

  • Great outing from Burke.

I assume we will see Sandlin today. Opener? Long relief if Burke struggles? Middle inning

They're going to have to look at Minnesota's starting lineup and decide...Buxton is the key out obviously.

Sandlin expected to go 2-3 innings and perhaps longer if he can limit his pitch count per inning.

Buxton has already homered off Burke and Bell 2/2. Very limited exposure overall.

Probably go with Sandlin to start and bring in Burke if he gets in trouble.

That said, starting a game puts more pressure on Sandlin, but won't be a big crowd like Monday afternoon.

Think Venable would prefer to bring Sandlin in like Taylor almost as a high leverage reliever in the middle innings.

The Sox usually bring starters up days before their start so they can do a side session and then activate them on game day. Sandlin might be up for Fedde.

The White Sox May Have What It Takes to Rise From the Cel...

Following three straight seasons with 100-plus losses, the South Siders are building something sustainable as they claw back toward competency.

It is his turn in the rotation. I doubt they get him off schedule.

Either opener for or piggyback off Burke today, then reassess.

Hope so. It’s time. All month the writing has been on the wall, in bold letters.

Yep. Unable to access from my phone. Sucks. Only can access at work, and well --- I am buried at work these days.

Be really nice to win today with Martin going tmr. I tend to think they use Sandlin in the bullpen for now but who knows.

So did Sandlin actually get called up today? No transaction official yet and hes still listed for the Knights tonight.

I personally think we see him on Thursday.

They just made it official. Schultz to the IL.

Sandlin pitches tomorrow. Fedde keeps his spot

OK having Nishida 9th makes sense. So tired of seeing Beni 6th however. Romo should be batting 6th given his profile of boom or bust. Perfect spot for that type.

The IL stint for Noah obviously adds to the need for starting pitchers right now. Meanwhile Getz frantically trying to plug new holes. He has his work cut out for him.

Benintendi with a career 1.239 OPS vs. Ryan in 7 games. Hope it keeps up tonight.

If Sandlin is going tomorrow does that mean Martin is being pushed to Thursday?
