Pereira with the start today in RF for Charlotte and went 1/4 with a BB and 2 K. He’s getting closer and closer to being back.

Schultz is throwing bullpens and should be close to a minimum IL stint. Shane Smith is throwing again too.

Gilbert back on IL, Chris Murphy is up again. I hope they get some use out of him cuz Ronny Hernandez is raking.

Great news on both accounts. I can't wait to watch Mune hit a couple of nukes out of Truist in person

Hope Mune doesn't rush it. Hamstrings are so easy to re-aggravate

Importantly, he played all 9 in the field for a day game after a night game.

I am reaching here but with Colson taking a few days off Acuna jr is getting playing time. In the last 7 games Acuna jr is batting .500/.538/.583 and 4 stolen bases. It's a very small sample but if Acuna jr could keep it going he will only help the team as the team's utility infielder, fingers crossed.

Yes indeed. Admittedly, I have called for Acuna to be DFAed for weeks, but now I am like, "hold on a minute..." Acuna has value as a back-up in the IF and OF, has speed, and even showed he could have a competitive AB vs Sale. So reconsidering, I think he stays for now. Hill and Grichuk have proven roles and probably aren't going anywhere. Tristan Peters is not going to hit .300 forever but he is going to have a decent OBP and has played gold glove CF. Braden is now our RF. So who goes if the Sox want to bring up Periera and do the Sox even need him?

Teel sprinting with staff watching. He’s getting close to another rehab assignment. Hopefully 2 weeks hes in Chicago.

Little did we know, Hill was going somewhere.

Per Fegan: “Kyle Teel was running the bases pregame Thursday under the observation of the training staff, which is typically one of the final stages before a rehab assignment.”

Hmmm. 👀

Is he close to a rehab assignment?

He was running the bases last night under trainer supervision. Usually one of the final checks before a rehab assignment.

The real question is who goes down/is gone when Mune is back? Is Gonzalez obvious? Or will they consider 1 of Beni, Acuna, or Grichuk?

I think you’d have to at least see what a team is willing to give up for Grichuk? Doubt it would be much, but never know. Going to be a real OF crunch for Grichuk to get any playing time to warrant keeping him.

Would love for it to be Acuna but think it will be Gonzalez optioned.

Gonzalez still has options and Acuna doesn't. Seems like they don't want to just lose Acuna as some other team will probably pick him up just to have him be a pinch runner.

I think the 22nd is a bit early as the ramp up now will require probably 4-5 AAA games. I'd imagine he starts a rehab assignment Monday with Charlotte and plays his first game with them Tuesday, get in 4-5, and joins the club in Chicago on the 24th.
