I propose that Getz converts Sir Anthony to the team’s batting practice pitcher. $20 million is expensive for a BP machine but just think about how much confidence he would give our hitters.

They wouldn't hit seeing he can't get s%*# close to the plate

I mean Dominguez is my fucking whipping boy.

Teel has been awful tonight

What the hell was Teel supposed to do there?

Sox will go 1-2-3

Why did Peters act like they weren't gonna run? There's no reason not to throw that home.

Well, you can see why we thought Murphy would be covering late innings for us at the beginning of the season. His stuff is excellent.

Cleveland is missing 1/3 of their starting lineup, and put up 5 runs in 3 innings with a lineup that shouldn't score 5 runs all game.

There are some deep, deep problems with the back end pitching.

That was a terrible throw. Two game changing bad defensive plays by him in last four games

It looked weird in realtime but the replay he looked like he got rid of it fine.

Did he need to go off the plate to get the ball?

Come on boys - tie it up and then walk it off!

Just setting up the acuna walk off

It’s almost like they rushed him back

He was 8 for 16 in Charlotte.

5 blown saves in 17 chances, from a guy who has never been a successful closer before being handed the job here.

Didn’t get a lot of catching experience though

Must be nice to have a closer……..Chase having a bad 2 weeks

The good news is these games are all winnable. Just haven't been winning them. No obvious talent difference between the teams. Sox have the disadvantage that they were not constructed to win games and the one little thing they did to win now has not worked at all (referring to Seranthony of course).

I saw a post on You Tube saying that the White Sox are pretenders and will fall apart. I guess they were right pretenders, not contenders can we DFA SIR ANTHONY? The 7th 8th and 9th Newcombe, Hudson, Taylor in that order.

Another reason why WAR can be a useless statistic: closers generally don't post big WAR numbers, but ask any manager or fan about what corroded their team's confidence, and they'll undoubtedly tell you it was having a terrible guy on the back end. The numbers simply don't match up with the reality.

People blaming Acuña for yesterday's game are curiously silent about "best arm on the team" Grant Taylor wiping his ass with two leads in a row.

Acuna bad for his entire career but for two weeks. "This guy is turning a corner and Ozzie Smith like on defense."

Taylor dominant most of the year but bad for three games; "this guy is terrible and a bum!!"

Sox catching play has been terrible, I'm happy for Kyle to take some lumps in the majors where we get a chance at a little upside and he's surrounded by our best training staff and facilities.

At least B. Montgomery has looked good.

Yeah but he put nothing on that throw. He clearly hesitated.
