True story. My mom sang on a popular, local Polka lady's radio program. My mom was 16 when a 14-year-old Lil Wally asked her out. Aside from the age yuk, she figured he was just trying to get on the radio show. She turned him down. We always told her we could have been a rich music business family.

But that album, right there, that's a party!

    Nice gesture

  • I say this over and over. I don’t give a s%*# who the announcers are. If the Sox win that day, whoever it was were the best announcers in the world.

Both teams are off tomorrow. We stay in Chicago and Cle has a quick flight back home. My guess is they just play tomorrow same time.

I think that is right. WGN radar indicates a possible window between roughly 2:30 - 4:30. Roger Bossard will know which way to go at some point but it is a tough call to make when they already have thousands of people in the bar.

You could have been in Gus Polinskis crew!

Shouldn't be too hard to schedule a double header

Rain Delay Theater

Damn we have all the momentum and I don't see how they get this one played, unless they are willing to risk a suspended game.

I just looked and in about an hour, baseball.

At 11 am it's 104 in the desert. This is our cabin fever. Was hoping to watch this.

BTW that doesn't look like the usual "forfeit" line.

I too hope for something great for Jacob today; he's such an unassuming, non-hotdog kid, and it would be fantastic if things clicked for him.

One thing we learned about Brooke last night: she has a very nice singing voice ("Nationwide is on your side...")

Hey Bill I bet your last name is Irish and starts with an S. 😉🍀

Why couldnt they just make it a night game?

I was in Tempe for the "once every 1000 years heatwave" in late February. First time I ever experienced heat edema on my hands. We went for a 4 mile out and back in the Seguro Park W and even though I was hydrated and had sun blocking clothes it was a lot. The only saving grace was that yea it's desert so by 8pm it was back down to a tolerable 85 and by midnight a very pleasant 72.

Well, crap. Left the office early to watch the game in peace at home. It’s beautiful in Dubuque. We could play here.

Better not add it to the upcoming road games with Cleveland. Need it to be a home game if its cancelled today.

Just play the damned game even if it has to be in the rain. 🤣

This doesn't sound good. We want to play as many games with Cleveland now before they get fully healthy again.

Wow, sounds like they are determined to get this one in even if they are playing in front of a thousand. I'm cool with hit. Sucks for the players and fans that got there early but for all the reasons listed we want to play this one today if at all possible.

3:00 or so. Then they'll get in the whole game. You could check the radar too!

There's another storm that comes in after the current one, question is will it pass north or not.

Yea I see that. It looks like that system is colored red on the radar and is coming directly down from the North.

I just look at the radar and everything seems that it will be completely through by 3:40.

And those small storms of “red” to the north look a few hours away and drifting north of Chicago and definitely north of the Rate.

My first time in Tempe, I stepped off the plane from Chicago to 123 degrees . never saw another that high I think . I lived there for 5 or 6 years and loved it . I do remember seeing 100 at midnight often though.

I lived in Southern Illinois for about 7 years and maaaaaaan that is a different heat. Haven’t done Arizona yet and I expect it to be a different kind of smothering when I do
