A lot of pointless bickering.

I asked AI the other day if The White Sox were one of the teams on Kevin Gausman's no trade list and it said Yes.

I said f*** him then and it said it understood my sentiment.

Reds, Brewers, Tigers, Mets, A's, White Sox, Pirates, Mariners

Kyle Teel for Goodman

Not a bad thought. Unfortunately, my friend Kyle Teel has made himself into a back-up catcher. He can no longer be relied on to stay healthy.

I like the uniqueness of the idea but why would the Rockies do this? Is the 2 years of extra control really worth the difference between the players?

Yeah was just throwing something out that would be shocking. Maybe Rockies think Teel is a more complete catcher and would light it up at Colorado while being very cheap for a few years?

Would require more than just Teel I think, but it’s an interesting concept. Someone else on Twitter suggested trading Teel after he got hurt like they did with Madrigal in 2021.

Because of one year? One injury being pretty "freak"?

Not what you want to do - but what do you predict?

Sox get Holmes, Stephenson, and Ray.

Another route I could also see them take if Holmes doesn’t work out is something like Miller from Seattle for Chase plus prospects conditionally with Luis Arraez in the Ray deal.

While everyone is focusing on Detmers from the Angels, I’m hoping they also take a swing at Kirby Yates.

Starting five becomes:

Burke, Martin, Ray, Holmes / Miller, Kay

Pen:

Taylor, Yates, Hicks, Newcomb, Hudson, McDougal, Dominguez, Schultz, Fedde

Lineup:

Antonacci, Mune, Vargas, Colson, Stephenson, Beni, Braden, Meidroth, Peters

Or

Arraez, Antonacci, Mune, Vargas, Colson, Stephenson, Beni, Braden, Peters

Bench:

Acuna, Grichuk, Pereria

That has a ring to it!

I hadn’t spent much time in this thread until I was ready to contribute - it’s pretty shocking how many of us are expecting Ray and Stephenson.

Robbie Ray for Ky Bush is my prediction.

Yeah, I think Getz acquires all the stuff they're saying he's going to, but it's all going to inspire "who dat?" responses.

I think the leaks about the Sox being aggressive are meant to temper mid-dude asks. "You want Bonemer for Detmers? If I was going to trade Bonemer, I could have Skubal."

I'd love that

That seems too good to be true, but I would love it.

I really want Robbie Ray. If it’s for Ky Bush LFG!

Would love Arraez on this team. I don’t think Chase gets traded though. I think the org is really high on him and he’s also a glue guy.

Yea… only see it if you could bring in someone like Miller… which I think is a long shot.

Not familiar enough with all the targets and contract situations, but I think we’ll see a very “eating loot” kinda deadline. Carlson could be trade bait, but I don’t think Getz is quite there yet.

Throw some dollars at the roster and see how it shakes out. It’s too early to be putting serious chips in, imo. I believe Getz is in the same state of mind.

I think we pull off a surprise trade for Logan webb. Giants try to time their system and we lose a painful guy like Carlson - who lets be honest just seems more like an NL shortstop.

I want this real bad. Go big if you're going to move Carlson.

I think it would be a pretty painful haul too. With Carlson plus one of Smith or Schulz, a top 10-15 guy (wolkow/smith). But the people say they want control etc etc

Yeah that would sting for sure, but if you're going to do that, do it for a guy like Webb vs Detmers.

I bet he’d like pitching against Cleveland’s offense more than the Dodgers.

Here's what I want:

  1. Robbie Ray - Practically a salary dump - trade 1 or two backend top 30 guys. Take on all the salary

  2. Tyler Stephenson - Again, low level prospects traded. Take on all the salary

  3. Grayson Rodriguez - Certainly been doo doo since being out practically 2 years. Lots of injury history but has a fun ceiling. This would more so be a buy low and project for future years.
