Man, that is a lot to give for a back up outfielder who will be hard to keep on the roster. They have to be moving Grichuk, Hays, and/or Pereira somewhere in addition. Otherwise, you just traded assets to DFA useful players.

This might be the dumbest trade Getz has done yet

They just gave up Mason Adams for him. I think he's going on the roster.

The brain trust really must believe he can return to his gold glove and potential 30/30 power and speed combo.

Not a move I expected whatsoever.

5 hours left and a lot more is going to go down for our Sox.

I'm saying long term. Guy's got an OPS+ of 51.

We just trading fringe top 10 prospects who have upside trust to trade them

The FO have built up some trust with me when it comes to making moves, but this one is testing that trust lol. I just don’t see it.

Second guy we've acquired with an actual asset where the team trading the player had basically moved on from them as viable pieces.

A 570 OPS playing in Colorado lol.

Can't wait to see Adams go from saving the rotation to middling guy who is easily replaceable.

Looks like we just gave 400k to Vielma. We gave up on him after 1 month? Very strange.

So this is where Vielma becomes the next Tatis Jr. and becomes a star in a few years eh?

I trust the Sox hitting department though so I wonder if they can get Doyle back on track.

Nothing says we’re really going for it like acquiring projects at the deadline that require financial & prospect investment!

Not sure how his stuff plays in Colorado

Doyle has a Trout like body but not sure he has the speed he used to, doesn't take walks and only hit 1 HR this year in over 129 PA.

1 good year in 2024 then hasn't adjusted to how he's been pitched. He's a project.

Fuckkkk, Carlos Vielma is my guy in the DSL. He has been great there as a 16 year old. Hope this doesn't bite us in the ass.

Mason Adams too? Sheesh.

The new "coop will fix 'em". Lol

Isn't the point of having an org that can supposedly turn guys around is that you dont have to pay much to acquire the project? Sox are paying for these guys as if they've already turned them around.

Would it be possible to move up the trade deadline

I guess ill wait to see the final product but this one makes no sense at this moment.

Vielma for me. But it's so hard to assess DSL guys.

Same here. He's done really well as a 16 year old. I hate this.
