Sunday at 03:52 AM2 days Ironic how thoroughly Getz has cleaned house, but one of the select few who survived the purge turned out to be an arsehole. Seeing interviews with Shirley, he didn't seem like the guy to be like that. But I guess that's how you get away with it. The resignation makes me think that there's either some contrition or the evidence is just seriously overwhelming.

I'm sure they have performance/accountability clauses in those contracts right lol "Don't make the org look like Omar Vizquel still works here"I'm sure they could have fired him for cause.

Sunday at 04:19 AM2 days Okay - I see. Had nothing to do with his job performance as scouting director (and I agree with him on Emerson). If that harassment stuff is true - just awful. He didn't have anything to do with deadline trades....his predecessor did, however. Edited Sunday at 04:22 AM2 days by GreenSox

Then there all the groupies invited with free passes to sit behind the plate with the scouts/radar guns and upcoming pitchers charting…everyone waiting to go out after the game together. Married players were a rare commodity…só it was definitely a machismo environment.Mix in lots of alcohol as well.Executives in the front office need to be held to a much higher standard in terms of behavioral expectations. Sunday at 11:32 AM1 day "Some people just get too comfortable and say whatever the hell they want to anyone. What an idiot and I’m glad he’s gone..."redditThere we have that almost lifetime loyalty thing again we witnessed with Hahn, KW, David Bell for many years, Nick Hostetler, Fabian, Jim Thome...until some people just get too entitled and feel almost untouchable in their various domains. And in a job in which your unbiased evaluation is needed? What the f*** manPutting threads together of surveys saying this was happening in 2021, a MLB tip leading to an investigation in 2022, and now it happening at a massive and premiere event in public in front of everyone in the baseball world to see, it is obvious this was a long running pattern. If you are comfortable enough to do it this many times AND in front of a baseball whos who at an event like this, he had zero fear of consequences. That's a pattern of behavior, not a one time oops, to get to that point. You don't act like that in public initially, you work up to that over time. That means everyone knew, and everyone allowed it to happen. That's chilling, disgusting, and ultra-dissapointing. Hell it's embarrassing.
