Sam was playing LF the whole game, neither would have been over there

Montgomery would've been in right. They've gone with Doyle and Peters for Sam in the late innings.

This loss was on Will. Starting Murphy instead of Davis and gifting 3 runs to the Guardians in the 1st inning.

  • I don’t think anyone is mad at him. Rather he shouldn’t have been put in that position.

If Doyle had not been pinch hit for by Braden, Peters could have been in left instead of Antonacci. The game ends on Rochios's at bat when Peters catches that ball. Doyle had 2 hits already and Braden

Sam took a bad route. It's on him

He can’t play anywhere in the field. Trade him also

to go from basically clinching the division now to maybe 50/50 on one pitch

Bailey was the key at bat there obviously

I mean it's just the standard strategy. You know a double beats you either way so you're trying to take away singles and be able to hold the go-ahead run if one does get in front of you. It does leave you vulnerable to the parachute into the corner but there's no perfect strategy

No it’s not with two outs you play for optimal strategy to get the out because that’s all you need. Inexcusable.

Just another day where we once again see why this team and its manager will not win their division this year or anytime soon.

Of course, Taylor has to walk the lead off guy, because that's what he does.

I knew when Rochio came up something stupid was going to happen. Walking Bailey was the killer in that inning.

Ozzie and Chuck questioning the OF positioning there and using Murphy to open

It did. Also the 3 run gift from Murphy bit us at the ends also.

Maybe they should have intentionally walk Rocchio?

Then you face Kwan. Pick your poison

They’d still be playin if our big guys would stop striking the f*** out!!

Easily the most deflating loss of the year. And it was such a winnable game. I have a hard time seeing us win tomorrow. That might have decided the division.

Really hope some other team steals Venable. He has killed this team down the stretch.

So you wanted Braden to come in for defensive replacement in the 9th, which would make more sense

Tip your hat to Rocchio though, dude was just trying to make contact, weak pop up just found a spot where Ant wasn't, maybe our idiot batters could learn a thing or two hitting with RISP and two strikes, but not holding out any hope.

f*** it

bring up Bonemer

who cares anymore?

Mason Adams will probably shut them out in G162

Lead off guy got a clean single just past Meidroth.

If he's normal he catches that. And why does Will start Doyle who's better defensively and puts in sam . Will managed this game very poorly

Doyle would have gotten that.

Right he's also playing in to increase the likelihood of getting an out. You switch from "no doubles" to "no hits"

This one stings. Should never give up 7 to that offense. Oh well, hope they can get a couple off Messick tomorrow. They’re hitting at least.

he didn't, leadoff hitter got a hit on a 2-0 pitch

Yep. They've done it before.

Nauseating. Absolutely nauseating. We deserve so much better than this.

Seriously, what the f*** is Will thinking in these situations? Opening with Murphy, probably your worst pitcher in a critical division series with the lead down to a sliver? Subbing out Doyle for fucking Braden, only for it to cost them on the final play.

Seriously f*** all this. This team owes us a win after today. Big time.

Taylor hasn’t been anywhere near as effective either once they started having him throw a ton of pitches in outings.
