Should say that the catch Sam failed to make against Cleveland had 85% catch probability. That is in the realm of non-routine plays. Sam sometimes makes plays that difficult because he can run well but such plays are not uncommonly missed by a team's worst defensive outfielder. Sam makes plays in that difficulty bucket about 66% of the time.
