The first 2 games the Sox were the talk of baseball with their plate approach and discipline.

Anyone else feel like you are on the edge of madness

1 HR all series. This team doesn't win much without the HR

If they don't win tonight. Hopefully they make Cleveland use Smith at least. And break out of the power slump tomorrow.

Chase good AB here

His better at bats have been with no one on base.

Just some awful at bats man.

14 strikeouts thru 7 innings.

You can't log 14 K's against Cleveland when neither Messick or Williams are even pitching. This feels like the early season Sox, instead of the team who went and handled business in games 1 and 2 in Cleveland.

Blown two saves against us

Grich and Montgomery somehow hit 2 homers off him in one of them. The other one was when Peters had a check swing double and Antonacci got a 2 run single off him. Both of those games were a long time ago and Smith has been damn near unhittable since September.

Keep shutting them down.

If we lose this, maybe the black-out idea wasn't that great. No more tricks or magic when the Sox strike out and leave so many runners on base. Also, CLE has their two Ace pitchers for games 4 and 5.

Whatever happenens the rest of the way, they need to work on more plate discipline during the off-season, you gotta put the ball in play, Ks are just not putting pressure on the defense

It’s funny how before the series starts you can easily say “we just need one in Cleveland!” Then when down during any playoff game it sucks so much I can’t handle any adversity.

That Hudson move is going to haunt us all night, into tomorrow.

I'm pizzed.

Looks like Smith is coming in the 8 th for a two inning save.

Will Colson actually bat again? I’d rather see Pham and put Acuna it short. Time to pinch hit for Braden also. The only home run they Sox may hit would have to be a Benny blast.

Not scoring More in the first inning combined with the brain fart of using Hudson is what turned this game.

unbelievable lmao

We haven't hit all that differently compared to the first 2 games. We only scored 7 runs in Cleveland. Difference is we let them put up a 4 run inning.

Meanwhile, 7th walk to the team that only wants to take walks.

Its like we reverted back to the team from April.

Bringing in Sandlin to face all lefties is insane

Oh boy. The Guardian needs to take this pitcher out in the 9th please

Walks we do you in. Ugh
