So many threads about negative fire just wanted to yin the yang.

BIG step forward this year I'll see y'all in the spring.

Great season. Just feels disappointing in the moment since we went up 2-0 in the series coming home and choked. Go home and rest. Colson, go to Arizona and figure s%*# out.

I had fun watching baseball again.

I love this merry band of idiots and I hope they grow.

Hopefully they can take the next step and pick up some quality reinforcements in FA

They won 88 games; they far exceeded my expectations. This team is one of the most likable Sox team I have ever seen.

We had the casual baseball fan rooting for us. Even Cubs fans rooted for us because of how likeable guys like Murakami are. It just sucks that we couldn't finish the season with more dignity. Striking out a record 19 and 21 times while blowing a 2-0 lead is basically an implosion.

Is that one of the Aristocats at the bottom left of that screen? lol

The best is yet to come for these idiots.

Was at the bar with a cubs fan tonight. He said that White Sox fever had overtaken Chicago. Felt like nobody cared about the cubs making the playoffs.

Ok, I just finished the 12 hours and yes it generally was a fun season.

This is my mindset. Only real gripe should be able Getz failing to get any pitching at the deadline.

Otherwise, we as fans should be pie in the sky.

Oh - and our hatred for Cleveland should also be exponentially more vast.

Sorry man, I don't hate them. I envy them and Milwaukee and Tampa Bay. They make the playoffs seemingly every single year.

The Sox with all the advantages of a major market can't seem to get out of their own way let along even post a winning season. Only six since 2007 began.

I stopped looking at X a while ago, before the season started, partly because of the number of uninformed baseball "fans". There are a number of groups on Facebook filled with trolls or truly uninformed people who became insufferable over the last three games. The number of people who believe Venable should be fired was staggering. Someone even said to bring in Don Mattingly.

This was an amazing season that ended frustratingly. The pitching was gassed, and I think the whole team was beat. Venable is a manager of the year candidate (and likely top contender). Getz is likely an executive of the year candidate (less deservedly so). So many young guys exceeded expectations, and some veterans really stepped up. It's has been several years since watching the White Sox was fun. It was a blast this year. I can't wait for 2027.

I dont feel venable should be fired. Does he have to fine tune some things? Sure! But honestly he was dealing with a patched up pitching staff and a young team. Getz did better than I thought, anybody who steps in that role is already at a disadvantage with Jerry being frugal

While im sure Venable and Getz names will be in contention, Tampa Bay is probably more deserving of manager and executive of the year awards. They won 77 games last season, and this season win 98 in a much better division and are currently in the ALCS and almost certainly will make it to the World Series.

Chad Tracy also did an excellent job taking over the Red Sox and getting into the playoffs after their 10-17 start.

Lets make every thread about Colson Montgomery.

The difference is Tampa is more consistent.

Wil falls short in some ways but kids liked playing for him and was one game short of the ALCS.

But Getz - no. He needs to focus on player development and his success not on one big trade.

And let's always spell his name "Kolson." Clever, you see, because "K" represents strikeouts. That'll show him!

I do it because he's earned it. His OPS his last 60 games was under .600. I hope they figure something out. They did before, but if he can't lay off pitches he can't hit, his fall will be as fast as his rise, which was pretty incredible.

Red Sox were 14 under in early June before their 15 and 9 game winning streaks.

It was a great season, I hope we have one in 2027.
