There is zero risk in having him start in the minors and there is a good chance that you get a reward in him getting consistent work and using the nice sinker-change-curve combo to his advantage. If they were drawing respectable crowds, the team would feed off the crowd's energy. Unfortunately the Cell is a ghost town this season and not only does it take away home field advantage, it's gotta be disheartening for the team to see a sea of empty sections. Boston sells out every game and is 14-19 at home. The Phillies lead baseball in attendance and have a 12-19 home record. Tampa averages under 20,000 a game and is 19-11 at home. Sox are 4-2 in interleague, and no AL team will be better than that with 12 games remaining. But they have to go at least 7-5 the next two weeks. 11-7 in interleague would be just fine.
