IMO, it seems like it is built to do exactly that. It's the "we've made enough money so were going to do whatever the **** we want and then still make it a key part of our universe's plot line" move.

There's a raccoon with a gun and Vin Diesel plays a tree.

Bradley Cooper is the raccoon, yes?

Yep. And Zoe Saldana plays Gamora, who is Thanos' adopted daughter. GotG is going to be fun and ridiculous

When they announced it i though it would look stupid in live action but after seeing a couple trailers I'm actually pretty warm on it,can't wait now, also XMEN:DOFP looks legit too, been waiting on that for a couple years.

This one actually worries me more, maybe due to the level of trust each franchise has built up. Marvel just is nailing everything, while DOFP, even though it has Singer involved, is a franchise that has only put out a solid movie on 1 of its last 4 attempts. On top of that, they're using Wolverine to drive the plot and he's been the worst-used of them all.

That said, I was blown away by how much I liked X0, so maybe there's still some promise here. I just feel like I'm expecting to laugh at GOTG and find it lighthearted, crazy, and enjoyable even if not the best of the series, and DOFP is set up for me to be disappointed.

I keep waffling back and forth on DoFP. One trailer and i am like "just looks like a mess", then i see another and i want to see it badly.

The Winter Soldier was great.

It's amazing how different the two Captain America movies are. First one is kinda of campy and the new one is serious modern political thriller.

The 3rd one should easily be better, I'm glad this has easily become the best series out of the rest (IM 3 wasn't doing much for me,Thor is blah).

Nymphomaniac Part I by Lars Von Trier was a lot more thought provoking and less "pornographic" than it has been made out to be.

Staarsgkard was the highlight for me with his style...a bit jarring when you see Christian Slater or Uma Thurman or Shia LeBouf but the story doesn't revolve around them, they're all bit roles.

Curious now to see what happens in Part II.

Any rumination on morality, the double standard between "promiscuous" men and women, of how we judge others as well as ourselves...it's a worthwhile topic, although certainly not a mainstream one. I'm not even a fisherman, but I enjoyed tying in the analogy of picking up members of the opposite sex to fly fishing, haha.

Twice now marvel has decided to put a movie against BvS.

Marvel gives exactly 0 f***s

No reason to when the Marvel quality is far superior.

Well I'm not seeing Superman v. Batman regardless of when it comes out but one of those two movies will end up moving. I just don't see anyway that a sequel to a s***ty movie directed by Zach Snyder that is also adding a bunch of characters won't be bad.

And after Winter Soldier, Batman vs. Superman against Captain America 3 is a lose-lose for DC.

Originally BvS was set to go up against Avengers 2, then it was pushed back. Then marvel was like "haha, NOPE"

DC is so lost. They are trying to do something to compete with Marvel, but they cant figure it out.

The funny thing is, it isnt like Marvel has hidden the secret. It is right there in front of you, they created a long storyboard, probably with a lot of flexibility, and have mapped out their stories with the comic storylines as a guide. DC has plenty of storylines that they can get into with Justice League. Nolan used The Long Halloween and Knightfall as his guide, The Man of Steel used the new 52 Superman origin as inspiration. I just think BvS is such a massive leap for them, with no established properties in between.

Even before they got to that point, they wrote and put out a pair of good movies that set the stage for everything else. Key word being good.

Did you watch that special a few weeks ago about how Marvel got to where they are? It was pretty awesome how it came together. Tony Starks after credit scenes with both Fury and Thunderbolt in Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk were originally just kind of fun, and it put everything into hyperdrive

Yes. But the key still wound up being that Iron Man was a really, really good movie.

Marvel has done a very good job at interweaving the various story lines and movies... more so lately than the first few movies. With Batman vs Superman. They are essentially just dumping the movie on us with no build up or development. What DC should do is have at least one more Batman and one more Superman movie, with maybe one other character movie.. THEN do Batman vs Superman. As of right now, there will be a Superman movie and that is it.

And they're building on a trainwreck of a Superman movie as it is... and Ben f***ing Affleck is Batman.

Yeah, bad.

The last Batman and Superman movies combined to make almost 2 billion dollars.

I wouldn't say DC is lost or a train wreck. I would say they are rich.

True about the money but outside of Nolan's trilogy, the movies are awful.
