Ugh.

I live east of Lake Michigan; we got 8 inches of snow - just yesterday.

Is April here yet?

Yeah, apparently mother nature thinks it is January or something.

Suckers!

Just make sure it melts by 8pm next Friday.

I'm a fan of extreme weather, including snow and cold. But even I was tired of it last winter. There have been predictions that this winter could be as bad.

It's in the 30s here in Austin. It's never this cold until January or February. This blows.

According to the long term forecast it might not get above freezing at all for a week +.

Oh please. -12 when I woke up this morning.

Last winter beat the s*** out of me. Never minded winter until last year.

God please give us a more mild winter

We got 110 inches of snow last winter, they say that we'll only get 75 inches this year.

You've got about 10 so far, so I am guessing that won't happen.

I was in MN all week, kind of nice to have the cold but not have to ever go outside to walk from hotel to the office.

The only thing I like about winter is wearing boots.

The great lakes were pretty much frozen solid last winter. I would imagine that impacted how warm they got this summer and thus will not take much to freeze them up again this winter.

On the bright side this causes the water level to rise which is a good thing.

On pure speculation on my part but it makes good sense to me.

from July:

Ricky Castro, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service’s Chicago office, said the water off some Chicago beaches has been in the upper 50s, quite a bit cooler than the usual summer readings in the 70s.

I'm excited to finally get a snow blower. I'm buying one this year and I hope I never have to use it.

The good thing for our side of the lake is the quicker the lake freezes, the quicker the lake effect snow stops.

Moving 250 miles north means about 20 degrees colder.

So what, it's 50 degrees?

It's been in the 30's for like 4 days and I'm done with winter already. Bring on spring.

We got all the way down to a light freeze in San Antonio.

Looks like more lake effect over the next few days.

Four to 15 inches and a possible 1 to 2 inches of snowfall per hour.

Y'all are crazy to live on that side of the lake.

Schools cancelled due to 1½ inches of snow.

I really need to get out of this place.

The skin on my hands feels so dry that I'm scared to even look at them. I wish I had a bucket of moisturizer here so that I could completely submerge them for like an hour. This is me obliging the "complain about winter weather anytime in late fall through the end of winter" requirement for the day.
