...sucks. That is all.

He should be DFA very soon at this rate. He's just one of the myriad of problems for the Sox right now.

Normally I have something productive to say about the demands for DFA-ing a player. I guess today we have to worry about how his family will eat.

The good thing is we have Surkamp and he can do this role just as....oh yeah.

DJ started off well but like DA said in game thread the wheels have come off..............he may need to go soon.

Pitch him against just lefties and see what he does. Yes I know the small sample size says he's better against righties (although Ventura bringing him in against the right handed heart of the Astros' order on Sat probably blew that up).

He's definitely not better against righties, 100 point lower OPS against lefties. Walk rate against lefties is 5x lower than against righties.

Might be able to get away with using him as a true LOOGY but let's face it, our manager doesn't use guys that way and you can't pretend he will suddenly start.

The OP daily calling for someone to be DFA'd a nearly daily basis, especially when he called for Sanchez to be DFA proves he has very little idea what he is talking about, but Jennings has been pretty bad. But I doubt they go back to 1 LHP in the pen.

Normally I'd agree, calling for a guy like Sanchez to be DFAd is silly, but in this case it's actually what you'd do with Jennings based on his performance.

I never called for Sanchez to be DFA'd. You must have me mixed up with someone else.

Ahh, my bad. Sorry for the confusion.

I don't disagree with you. Jennings would not be a loss at this point.

I'm not sure we have a better option.

Well, we have Eric Surkamp in Charlotte...oh wait.

Yeah, I think you just have to hope he can find it again. This could have been a spot for Surkhamp. He was awesome there for a while, but batting practice the last 4 weeks for the most part.

The guy has just fallen apart. I wonder if the problem is mechanical or mental.

Jennings was still the best of 3 Sox pitchers Tuesday night.

And that's all the players' fault, not the front office's fault, at least that's what I've been told.

Dana Eveland opted out of his minor league deal with the Red Sox. He was having a very nice year in Triple-A. I wouldn't mind the Sox trying to go after him.

All the lefties

At least the Sox keep trying to find relievers who might not suck. They bring in shiploads of 'em every year it seems. Sox have had a lot of lousy relievers since the WS title year.

He has to be gone now. He's awful.

Eric Surkamp

Talk about a sharp decline after last year and the start of this year.
