Drafting Simmons definitely isn't a slam dunk. I'm with you for the most part as there aren't many teams I wouldn't trade places with as a Bulls fan but I'm not really sold on what the Sixers are doing either.

Jimmy Butler is better than every player on the Sixers (including the #1 pick). Yes, I would still take the Bulls going-forward, the only thing that gives me pause in it is how little I think of Hoiberg as a coach. Bulls also have cap space. Not saying they'll do much with it, but put a quality coach on this team and find a good point guard and another solid player and yes, I think we'd be a pretty good team. Championship, no, but I don't see the Sixers being anywhere close to a championship either.

Philly media people dont even believe they will make the playoffs next year and are just looking for them to look like an NBA team. That isnt quite a vote of confidence to give your basketball team. Yeah I would take the Bulls over that.

It's not fair to say Jimmy is better than the number 1 pick because we have no clue what Simmons or Ingram is going to be. All I know is Jimmy is a great(not elite) player that can't be the number 1 guy on a championship team. The odds of Simmons or Ingram being that number 1 guy certainly aren't high but we don't know for sure that they aren't.

Butler could easily be dealt for anything from another star player to a package of top draft picks and young players.

The Bulls "superstar" doesn't get along with the coach and doesn't want to play his system. I'd rather have Ingram or Simmons. One of those might be good enough to be the best player on a champion. Jimmy Butler isn't.

They are getting Ben Simmons though, who I believe is a superstar. So they'll have 1 more superstar than the Bulls currently have giving them a better chance going forward. Bulls are in basketball hell.

Frank Vogel is the new coach of the Magic on a 4/22 deal.

Well, there's a difference between one team dominating another (something we've seen many times) and just horses*** basketball. The '04 ECFs was so bad that the league stepped in and instituted rule changes that have effectively saved the NBA.
