White Sox - Injury Tracker
I’d imagine he doesn’t need much more time in Charlotte. My guess is he replaces Schweitzer in the next week or so.

Any word on Fauske? He’s been out of the lineup this week.

White Sox acquired RHPs Jordan Hicks and David Sandlin from BOS
You’re dealing two different versions of him though as he fixed his arm angle post injury and also started using his 4 seamer a fuckton more. Pre injury: 17.2 IP | 7.64 K/9 | 8.66 BB/9 | 0.51 HR/9 | 5.60 ERA | 4.60 xERA | 5.20 FIP | 25.5% 4 seamer Post injury: 13.1 IP | 14.18 K/9 | 3.38 BB/9 | 0.00 HR/9 | 0.00 ERA | 1.15 xERA | 1.08 FIP | 3.7% 4 seamer

I think he can very much be a Kyle Hendricks type - which is pretty darn solid and valuable.

I was at a game against the Yankees years back and NY was in last place at the time...and their fans were still unbelievably obnoxious.- And that's a walk of walk White Sox winner!
2-4 in TB and Boston the come home and kick Cleveland’s ass would be fine by me.- White Sox acquired RHPs Jordan Hicks and David Sandlin from BOS
Speaking of not sounding concrete, Jordan Hicks has a 6.39/9 walk rate but his xERA on FG is 3.11. He has a .29 HR rate. In 78 batted balls he's had one barrel allowed. He strikes out a little over 1/3 of hitters faced this year. what an insane profile. there's no way he can keep this up, but at the same time thanks for what he's already done.- The Day after the Non-Ron GameThread: White Sox vs Yankees 1:10 CDT Burke Vs Weathers
When he couldn't throw a strike, I think you take two. They got to 3-0, and Stone just blurted out, "NO! I know you were going to ask, and no, you don't swing on 3-0, and maybe not even 3-1." However, I think Colson has to offer at 3-1. That seemed inevitable he would throw it in the dirt, and Colson would bite.- And that's a walk of walk White Sox winner!
Awesome end to the series. I for sure thought they were going to get swept. Hard to shake off after years of loss and misery. Love that this team doesn’t just roll over and die. Possibly the toughest test coming up this weekend. TB best home record in the league at 40-16, and they’re 8-2 in their last 10. I’ll be happy with one win. Any more would be gravy.- White Sox acquired RHPs Jordan Hicks and David Sandlin from BOS
That doesn’t sound concrete to me- 7/30 Games
Nashville Sounds have a position player pitching the top of the 9th with the team only down by 1. What a joke to be charging admission and do that. At least the kid on the bump seems to be giving about 70% effort.- Trade Ideas/Rumors/Proposals Thread
There’s just too much competition for starting pitching and the prices are going to be outrageous once we see them. The team on the north side is somehow 62-47 and they still desperately need another starter. And that’s just two teams in competition for the postseason in the same city. Unless he stupidly overpays massively in the way of prospects, I won’t blame Getz for whatever happens by August 3rd at 5 PM.Today

"The media" doesn't exist like it used to. James Fox might drop a knowing nugget about what he thinks the team will do, but the Athletic, ESPN and MLB guys are just spewing out targeted leaks. And the leaks are old and dead. Under the previous regime, guys like Shields would be floated for weeks until the trade happened, or in the case of Adam Dunn, from the TDL to the winter meetings. Has Getz even had name being floated that became inevitable? He may be trading for established major leaguers, but I get the feeling it's all going to be "WTF" guys who they think they can fix or upgrade. Sure, maybe they break the bank for an Emerson Hancock, but that would surprise me.- 7/30 Games

Gonna hate watch this Dodgers Mariners game. Wish both teams could lose. Firmly rooting against Seattle at this point, wild card contender, and their fans were way too cocky at the game and I'll be back at another one next week be nice to talk some more s%*#. Good to be invested in baseball as we flip to August. Been a few years.- Trade deadline old friend alerts

Sure, if my optimism proves unwarranted then flame away. But I don’t expect us to trade for two expensive SPs. I fully expect us to add one though and hopefully a controllable guy like Detmers. And I’m confident they will because our OD payroll was a joke and there should be payroll space. And don’t forget there is a large financial incentive for making the playoffs, which is obviously attractive to Jerry.- 7/30 Games
Jimmy Wammo seems to think they're fast tracking this dude. I don't know if he means that's what they've done so far (he's been in A, A+ and AA this season), or if he expects this guy to be up in the near future. He's been kind of cheeks in AA so far.- All things LA Dodgers Thread...

Okay I did go and find another time they talk about it. June 1st. They say they thought it would be done May 1st and then by end of May, but that just came and went. Return was based on Sandlins performance/availability- 7/30 Games
He's doing things at his age that usually get analytics oriented scouts quite excited. Frankly I think Eric just missed here, and that's going to happen when you are trying to scout 500 guys to make a top 100 list as a random writer. Sure he's talented at what he does, but he's just one guy, same as Law, except at least with law he seems to want to see guys in person. Eric just looks at spreadsheets and reads primary accounts. If I'm wrong someone call me out, but I don't recall reading many first hand reports from him over the last decade at FGs. - And that's a walk of walk White Sox winner!
