This is the fifth of 5 home series against the AL East. The first 4 have all been sweeps, and we're 1-3 in those series. Time to correct that. This is also the first of our 2 out-of-division 4 game series of the season; the other will come @ Houston. We also have 1 more in-division 4 game series remaining (Detroit in September).

Not too many fans will bother heading out to the park if this weather keeps up. Why pay to get soaked?

I don't want to be cynical. After scoring double digit runs yesterday and Schultz going tonight. This one feels like a loss. Would love to be wrong.

I wish Antonacci was in, but not going to be mad at Everson starting his first game back.

Tray, maybe Sam, and/or any of the other guys who aren't starting, will get in there later and do something cool!

Quite the lineup.

Fried is very good and with Shultz going for the Sox, this will get ugly early. Sorry, but I can’t be optimistic about this matchup. Maybe if Sandlin were pitching. That said, I hope like hell the Sox prove me wrong. I live in New York State and can’t stand the Yankees.

Forgot to add it in my roundup of the stats this morning, but for the first time FGs basically think's it's a coin flip between us and Tribe to win division, 30% odds for us, 32% for them. Overall playoff odds are 45% for us, 48% for them, closest it has been all season although Sox did have slightly better odds (46%) back on June 29th. We've basically been around 40-48% the last 6 weeks. Be nice to go on a run and get that up over 60%.
