  1. Past hour

  2. Smith is also definitely available
  3. Taylor is probably available for 1 inning of work.
  4. Hopefully it will be 10-2 good guys and It won't matter
  5. Agreed. BJ said he feels like it's underrated. What's more likely is they knew they weren't going to keep Gervon long term, and with Van De Berg looking like he's potentially a player, they decided to move on. With that stated, record wise, they're going to take a step back. It'll be interesting to see what happens when they are in the dog days of Dec and snow is pouring down and they're not able to drop 35 offensively. I don't say this as a "Bear-Weather" guy, but the snow does mess up your timing. Your run game will be good, but what are you going to do with your defense who I would argue is weaker than last year which was pretty weak already. I hope a Maxx Crosby move is coming.
  6. I 100 percent disagree that the d line is a position of strength
  7. At this stage I would rather see the White Sox in the playoffs and have the Cubs missing the playoffs.
  8. sweep would be nice, but getting some rest for the pitching would also be great, maybe the guys can drop 10 runs on em by the 4th inning
  9. According to FG, Sox have a 30% chance of reaching ALCS. Also on our side of the bracket: Astros 22%, Guardians 16%, Mariners 11%, Rangers 7%. Sox have 10% chance to win AL.
  10. Today

  11. Now the argument will be turned around to starters are unimportant. They can just turn McDougal Hagen Shane and Noah into a super pen....despite not really producing any major league relievers from draft to pen in 2026 except for Pallette. Hagen Smith will be deemed a "development victory" despite an unsustainable 10 walks in 11 ip with a 1-5 pick. You can probably add 2026 pick Volchko with his unorthodox delivery.
  12. Today's game will be a test for the low leverage part of the Sox bullpen. I assume Venable is going to give the high leverage pieces a day of rest. Hicks Opener Urquidy Available: Richards, Gilbert, Tyler Davis Hope for the Sox offense to score a boatload of runs.
  13. No. 1 Milwaukee Brewers (BYE) No. 2 Los Angeles Dodgers (BYE) No. 6 San Diego Padres (NL Wild Card No. 3) at No. 3 Atlanta Braves (NL East winner) No. 5 Philadelphia Phillies (NL Wild Card No. 2) at No. 4 Chicago Cubs (NL Wild Card No. 1) Why would that be an easier path? Avoiding the Dodgers until the NLCS? Now it's the DBacks by 1/2 games but SD the slight favorite...
  14. Seems like they are dealing from a position of strength and this move will become clearer as the day unfolds with other cuts and additions into next week.
  15. I still think the Cubs could make a deep playoff run even if they don’t catch the Brewers.

  17. What about your favorite player, MVPCA? A 4 hit, 3 homer game with 6 RBIs. Up to 36 homers and 32 stolen bases. His fWAR is now up to a ridiculous 9.1. He will have to tank hard to not win the NL MVP. Shohei is behind him at 6.9.
  18. One of them will because they’re going to be playing each other more than likely. Then the winner gets the Rays.
  19. The trade deadline has passed. They just want salary relief
  20. And if they did have the Midas touch with pitching, Castillo may have never been needed in the first place. See Shane Smith, Schultz, Cannon, Sandlin, etc.
  21. He's a better fit in a 3-4 defense.
  22. It's a possibility, after 9/1 the Sox wall be able to carry 14 pitcher's total. Davis Martin will be back up for the Houston series. I assume there will be shuffling of pitchers back and forth, Tyler Davis and Tyler Gilbert come to mind.
