  1. Past hour

  2. I'm glad Getz kept Bonemer and didn't move him this past deadline. Really hopeful this kid can find a home and stick in LF. Would be HUGE to add a bat of his potential to the lineup.
  3. The City of Chicago would have to be crazy to object to this project. I remember when JR wanted to build a stadium at the 78. Mayor Johnson said "Show me some skin". Ishbia is showing some big time skin in this projject. I saw an interview with Ishbia where he mentioned the 606 trail in Bucktown. He wants a similar walkway from the stadium into Chinatown. The whole project looks wonderful.
  4. He’s an affable chap. Likes baseball, likes to laugh. I could see it.
  5. This is a really good interview. It's 40 minutes, but it's a great discussion about the Sox stadium situation. Cunningham provides excellent background on the power of railroads, how ISFA operates, location choices of privately-financed stadiums, and why a huge investment in the downtown area is vital to the city. The last 5 minutes or so are about the Bears stadium situation, but it's almost all about Sox new stadium effort.
  6. I love any suggestion that is "grew up a Sox fan." Give me an authentic emotion, bias and the homerism listening to games.
  7. It’s a new day, gentlemen. We just got the colon cleanse yesterday. Problems are being solved
  8. I always found his style exciting. He would be the perfect play by play man on TV. He was my boyhood idol.
  9. So in other words, being a steakhouse manager takes no industry expertise whatsoever. Learned something new..
  10. The guy on The Score that has shown interest in doing PBP is Matt Spiegel, when he isn’t jamming with Tributosaurus.
  11. No he wouldn't. He was let go before the 1971 season because his style didn't fit the times then. What makes you think his quiet, laid back cadence would work today? That's not a knock on him, his style was great for the time in the 30's, 40's and 50's but it would not come close to working today.
  12. Give me Jack McMullen. Please, please, please!!!! 2016 Oak Park and River Forest High School grad and baseball star. Die-hard Sox fan; huge Buehrle fan (as a lefty pitcher himself) Radio voice of Marlins Great voice Extremely charismatic Really sharp; stat master, knows baseball Young; could be a lifetime Sox voice. To me, he's a cross between Benetti & Rooney. Give him a listen, he's fantastic!
  13. lol it would be quite a Bookend to the season, open it getting your asses kicked in Milwaukee and ending it same way, except the overall feeling from Sox fans would be so different
  14. If they were going to lose, I would have actually have been happy for the Brewers. The Woodruff story is great as is Yelich coming through and having a good postseason. So many easy guys to root for.
  15. Let’s hope wherever their sites are set is higher
  16. I will still get that before anything so I am not too upset about it. I think Ravech would be a great hire. The SCORE was talking about Haugh and Zaidman this morning. That is lazy take on Greenberg's part. Both would be a disaster.
  17. Good lord. Bears couldn't do that?
  18. Today

  19. Ill take in his prime Harry Caray over anyone else. Especially if Piersall was with him. Greatest booth ever.
  20. Its a shame that Bob Elson isn't still around. He would have been an excellent choice.
  21. First think Karl Ravech does after he brushes his hair in the morning is put it on.
  22. His name was in one of the linked articles in this thread.
  23. This is where not getting anything back for Cunningham in Atlanta really hurts. An extra third (both this year and next year) would have been very valuable for a trade piece
  24. I told you guys, you don't mess with the unions in Chicago.
  25. Zaidman would be like listening to nails on a chalkboard. No thanks. I would rather keep Schriff.
