  1. Yesterday
  2. $86M contract? Too rich for our blood. It could go up to $131M? That's getting close to double the Sox biggest contract ever! Hopefully by the time the option year rolls around for this Soderstrom deal where it might surpass the $100M mark, the Sox will be under new ownership and we fans won't be staring in awe at some other team's $131M contract.
  3. That the consensus #1 on 12/26/25 wasn't the consensus #1 on 12/26/24 is an odd thing to fixate on imo.
  4. There’s no way in hell. He came back from injury late in 2024 and they wouldn’t even play him.
  5. Pretty sure I recall him getting booed last time he came to the park
  6. Maybe, just maybe, the White Sox would like to show interest to get him to talk about his conditioning now compared to all the times he was injured, then when he opens up, they have evidence to sue him for his salary.
  7. Certain matchups against RHP potentially at 3B/DH, but there is so much history/baggage with him that I can’t possibly see them actually bringing him back.
  8. This makes me think he has made up everything. There is no fucking chance. Even if he left on good terms and was healthy where the hell would he play?
  9. With all dude respect, what the actual f*** are you blathering on about? There is one literally from yesterday, right on the front of the main board. One of those pops up just about every year.
  10. Soxtalk is an exceptional site, free for we posers, I mean posters, but we never have a Merry Christmas thread. So I hope you all had a Merry Christmas. In honor of the holiday tell me 3 things you like/love about Chicago (not suburbia). It can be something from the past involving the Windy City too ... a.) Old Comiskey Park. It was a thrill to be in there every time I went except maybe when they had the astroturf infield and grass outfield. Weird. b.) Italian beef with soggy bun. It really is delicious. However as I age, it ruffles my stomach as do delightful White Castle burgers. c.) Christmas decorations on the southside. People come through every year and decorate their houses. True Chicagoans are special people. Hail to Mt. Greenwood. I miss you and wish u a Merry Christmas and thank u to soxtalk owners for this forum. Peace out. p.s. Did you watch Wonderful Life this year again? I did but picked it up halfway thru.
  11. Unlike Ryan Poles, who only scouted one quarterback. But I digress
  12. I highly doubt this will happen since they are trying to flush the past and defensively he was awful last year which is one of the few areas he has been consistently good at previously. It would also leave Vargas without anywhere to play. Let's focus on continuing to develop our young players and building a good lockerroom.
  13. There ain't no way. The Sox couldn't dump him quick enough. Dude is pushing names of teams to help a brother out.
  14. Why? Although this would be a typical White Sox move wouldn't it?
  15. Francys has to be trolling us because there’s just no way that makes any sense.
  16. As always, this stuff will settle itself out on the field. Unless LeBron, Roch, and Emerson run into each other in a Team USA practice, all breaking each other's necks in the next six months, The Sox get the runway of sitting and watching to decide their direction.
  17. I hope one of two things happens: Roch plays out of his mind again and is a no doubt #1 pick Someone else plays even MORE out of his mind and becomes the no doubt #1 pick
