  2. I will admit Red Sox have a horse shoe up there you know what right now…but I tip my cap. They are hot…it happens and move on. The meatball changeup was the 9th inning pitch to have back and that sinker…tip your cap…that said I also wouldn’t be surprised either as it did seem like they knew what was coming but that could also be Sox pitching predictable
  3. FYI, Rockies won NL pennant in 4 straight. Boston not only needed 7 games to clinch, they had a few rainouts. Rox were off about 10 days. So much for your heater, whatever that means.
  4. Speaking of players cheating, what do you want to bet that Quero slipped that pitcher who hit Bart on the hands a 20?
  5. Someone needs to take those Voodoo dolls of the other catchers away from Quero!
  6. .....I'll also add that the 2021 Braves are the most recent example of this. They were under .500 at the break and then totally caught fire and ended up winning the WS. We've seen these kind of teams before. Boston reminds me of this, but of course, they play the games for a reason.....anything can happen.
  7. Peters and Braden are not worth watching or playing. We have been scammed.
  8. All I'm saying is that once in a while there's a team that looks to be totally out of the race in the first couple of months and then catches fire and soars to the World Series and Boston looks like they fit that pattern. Nothing is guaranteed. As far as the Cubs go - yeah, they still have to get past Milwaukee. But lots of teams make it to the WS without winning their division. Unless you think they won't make it as a wild card?
  9. Have we ever figured out what is going on with site access? Just saw this -https://www.reddit.com/r/whitesox/comments/1vhcfm6/soxtalk_anyone_here_involved/ Is this an issue with Invision? Domain host? Something else? I know several here still have issues.(myself included, site won't load at all on work laptop) Hate to be missing out regulars who can't access and potential new members, especially now that we don't suck.
  10. Even though he's only has 139 ABs, if he went 11 for his next 11. he still wouldn't reach the Mendoza line. The Romo line makes the Mendoza line child's play.
  11. I know you already looked at this already, but If we're talking scouting report, he throws his sinker on 2-2 just ~18% of his career/this year. Meanwhile his change usage is at 67% on 2-2. If youre sitting on a pitch there, you're likely sitting change. There's not going to be too much change in profile between the two there, but important distinction regardless. That second picture also does not do it justice. He hit that ball at his ankles. Really a nasty pitch. Regardless of all that, I dont think youre going to get any story from just a single pitch.
  12. Yes. 116, I think. 2007 Rockies also come to mind. Their heater got them all the way to the WS before the spell broke.
  13. Today

  14. It's actually Durran punching teammates/
  15. I got a buddy in a similar spot. Ended up going to jail for a bit because of her. The laws in Tennessee are a joke.
  16. Roch led the dash with 5 RBI last night, 2 for 6, 2B, HR 3 games/14 AB so far. .214/.313/.571 (.884) Pretty good after not playing baseball for over 2 months, looks like he gained a little weight as well
  17. Yeah, you can lock them in there with some certified NL powerhouse. You know, like baseball's richest team and defending World Series champs, or that second place team that hasn't won its division in 6 years...wait
  18. Seattle too? Didn't they win almost 120 games one year and lose in the playoffs?
  19. Great question…I just think the reality is it’s probably going to come down to Sam or Chase at some point in the near future for an everyday spot. Unless Sam can play CF, that would solve a lot of problems but no idea how realistic that is. Also not out of the realm of possibility Sam could just be a k*** Hernandez/Ben Zobrist type of super utility that gets 3/4 starts a week at different positions
  20. Awww Tru, such a hard burden you carry!
  21. Unfortunately, they look like one of those teams that starts off slow and then takes off like a rocket all the way to the World Series. It happens every now and then. Get ready for a BoSox vs. Dodgers or Cubs World Series.
  22. It's nice to care again so much about a game... And it also sucks.
  23. this board makes it hard to be a white sox fan sometimes.
  24. Hearing reports that certain members of the Red Sox bullpen have been drumming on a street light when the opposing pitcher throws a fastball.
  25. For sure, just threw Peters in as a guy that is likely to get “crunched” off a starting spot because of the incoming talent…or at least that’s what we should be hoping. Great story and hope he proves me wrong, but probably more of a 4th OF’er long term on a team with championship aspirations
  26. That's legitimately believable.
