  1. Past hour

  2. Colson seems like the last guy I’d want to see try and play hurt. I bet he’s out until next week.
  3. Also, I think we can all agree to say f*** you to the Red Sox this year
  4. Rangers 5-11 with RISP, someone needs to tell them to swing for the fences more! Gonna be 1 game up going into tomorrow.
  5. That’s important news I had yet to hear. Maybe it will become a blessing in disguise and force their hand to sacrifice some potential slug for someone more contact oriented.
  6. You’re talking about my ex-wife. At least theres a solution for that problem… you walk away. With the Sox… that’s not an option for fans like me. How about they just fucking win the god damned division and the script gets rewritten?
  7. It’s hard enough to get players to be allowed to make the team out of spring training
  8. I've watched the collapse and to me it's all on Mune and CMont. I give a pass to everyone else. Both of them fell apart and climbed into a shell. CMont even forgot how to catch. It has been an unexpected pleasure to watch the Sox this year. I won't let the bad ending ruin my merories 2026. Bring on Caleb Bonemer and 2027.
  9. Actually the middle of the end. The beginning of the end was 20 games ago. The end of the end will be after the Detroit series.
  10. Is it a serious possibility that Colson will be out for any significant time? All I heard was that his X-rays were negative and he’s bruised up. That doesn’t sound like a situation that will take him out for any considerable time. If we do have to walk that path… you put Chase at short and Psycho Sam at second. If they had balls, they’d give Bonemer a cup of coffee.
  11. With all of Mune’s struggles and no end to them in sight, it’s really tough to be in a position where our chances of winning the 2026 AL Central rest on his shoulders. What is his stat line that has been highlighted in every broadcast for the past two weeks? Something to the effect of, “Since August 28th Murakami is hitting .105 with a 50% strikeout rate.” That type of “production” from our three hole / cleanup guy doesn’t just massively contribute to RISP LOB woes but I really think it has a huge hand in all of the other guys pressing. If Mune can get hot suddenly we will see a lot of those concerns vanish. We’d also have protection for guys like Vargas or Colson. The rest of the team would be able to take a breather without feeling the individual need to carry this team. I haven’t looked into his history while in Japan but I do recall that he is known as a streaky hitter - I’d just be shocked if he’s ever been this far gone. It’s tough to watch Venable and Getz keep running him out there, giving him the MVP bubble wrap treatment. He doesn’t deserve it. They probably are facing self inflicted pressures in their own rite - with a driving belief operating that if they bench him Chicago will become a less attractive destination for other Japanese players in the future. I’m sure they also want to maintain a favorable relationship with potential contract negotiations on an extension. Problems therein are: We now aren’t sure if we want him extended and the bubble wrap is hurting the team… which is the only really important thing. Prior to this, our starting pitching was the biggest weight dragging us down… and with that department now trending in the right direction, it’s easy to hope that the bullpen levels out in short order. He looked better today but 102 mph exit velocity 415 foot foul balls only count for a strike. There are a lot of reasons we could already have this division locked up but we are where we are. And from where I’m sitting, all eyes should be on Munesama. It time to get back to Strokin! Footnote: If I’m Getz or Venable, I’m platooning him with Grich and moving him down to the 7 or 8 spot. It puts him in a better position to succeed if he’s only facing righties and that may help him feel less pressure. Will they do that? Fucking doubtful.
  12. Yeah same. At least that’s the earliest I remember (around then/late 90s)
  13. DSL Tricky League games seems to be going on now as well. Keep seeing the notifications for live games on YouTube.
  14. Sox next to last in batting average since the ASB. They’re at .225, only Angels are worse.
  15. This has been a fun season no matter what - I'm proud of this squad and I'm proud of this team. Whatever happens the rest of the month is what it is...we are playing with house money this year and massively exceeded expectations. Go out and let it loose as a team from here on out - no fear - just play your hardest and let the chips fall where they fall. Nothing to loose.
  16. I've been watching since 2000. They've made the playoffs 5 times in the time I've been a fan. Basically twice every decade on average.
  17. Did the math earlier. I was born in March 1991 so this is my 36th season. If they miss the playoffs, in my lifetime they will have made the post-season on average once every 6 seasons. Oof
  18. Orioles, Jays, and Rangers all play each other. They're probably gonna beat up on each other enough that they probably won't win more than 6 or 7 of their last 10. Orioles also play the Brewers and Yankees along with Toronto, so that's a tough schedule, even if Milwaukee and New York might not have much to play for. Jays play the Rangers, Baltimore, and Cincy. Sox have by far the easiest schedule. But I'm not sure that means much with how poorly we're playing.
  19. @tray This is the guy you want owning this franchise???
  20. Today

  21. Worst.of.all.time And the Marlins have two WS titles in 97 and 03 Twins Royals Guardians Tigers all better…only Detroit under Mike Ilitch, Sr. with higher payrolls And that’s four years out of date White Sox should be what, 123+ total seasons now? 11/123 =0.0894
  22. Any interesting veterans in the minor leagues of any teams that we can trade cash considerations for? Or sign or claim anyone who was DFA’d? At least for a backup spot? I’d roll with Chase at SS, Ant at 2B, Grich in LF with Acuna and Doyle as late inning subs
  23. Again, literally the worst of all time. I have idea what the Ishbia era will be, but I know what the Reinsdorf era is, and I will take whatever is next. Please! 🙏
  24. DTF St.Louis Thoughts?
  25. Yet so many are deluded. This success was mostly down with outside talent. Sometime the next season doesn't work as well and then go back to rebuilding the rebuild of the rebuild. That's what poor organizations do. Short spurts of success. Sure people can talk about the big spending teams but many of their better players were home grown. They don't fall apart due to injuries. Too many bad owners in this game, way too many. Winning is a habit and so is losing. I doubt this team will ever have sustained success in my lifetime. A change in ownership probably doesn't keep Getz. People don't get promoted despite being inadequate in the previous job in the world of sports. This is the White Sox............so surreal.
  26. Or a worse three year run…346 total losses.
