  1. Past hour

  2. Yeah, that's the point I was trying to make. Nothing needs to happen until Roch and/or Caleb force one of the current guys out of the lineup and cheap controllable depth is a good thing. I also need to see Roch at a big league level play as good or better a SS as Colson does before I'm moving Colson's elite glove from SS.
  3. I don't think it ends up happening unless Vargas takes some kind of discount. But still have to try
  4. The big 3 of '67. Tommy John, Joel Horlen and Gary Peters. 15 shutouts between them. All with under 2.50 ERA RIP 🙏🫶
  5. Totally a laundry guy myself. But anyway , that’s what a GM has to be.
  6. He does have a homer off Imanaga. But then again, he hasn't been hitting well.
  7. You’re paying both Colson and Vargas with Cholowski and Bonemer coming? I’ll believe that when I see it.
  8. So we'll have Castillo, Burke, Kay and Martin for next year. Add one FA (Trevor Rogers? Should be reasonable price; very good, except for a ghastly 2024). And you're right, out of Schultz, Sandlin, Vasil, hopefully Taylor and other candidates, they can find one starter; although 2 or 3 would be better to have some depth. And they'll lose Castillo and Kay for 2028, so they will need some guys to step in.
  9. It's the tape Antonacci put on his helmet.
  10. A Sox father and his son walk into the restroom at Wrigley, both do their business and start to walk out, a Cubs father says "HEY, here on the North Side we teach our sons to wash their hands!". Without missing a beat, still walking, Sox father says, "huh, on the South Side we teach our sons to take a leak without pissing all over themselves".
  11. Sox official release was Quero was sent down and Rogers took his spot. Chicago White Sox @whitesox · Follow Prior to today’s game at Detroit, the Chicago White Sox added catcher Jake Rogers to the 26-man roster and optioned catcher Edgar Quero to Class AAA Charlotte. 9:40 am · 15 Aug 2026
  12. One of my best friends who was a also college roommate of mine from 2004-2006 converted from Cubs to Sox after the Bartman game. I still can't fully trust him knowing he was capable of such antics.
  13. Anyone who says they like both teams weren’t born in Chicago.
  14. Thanks! This is really great.
  15. Mune has 6 HRs vs Shota in only 43 career at bats facing him in Japan. Safe to say he hits him pretty well .
  16. I like how the BP was rearranged. They got rid of the guy who early in the season was most likely to get a save but regressed to the guy most likely to blow a save. They also have a few guys who can go multiple innings but then they can't recover as quickly. Most people don't know it but combined the BP has 32 saves. Hagen Smith and Hicks are volatile so Venable hasn't put them in save situations but they are getting more and more chances to open innings late in the game. Unfortunately we're down to 3 starting pitchers and unless you're willing to call up Shane Smith or Cannon to maximize innings pitched beyond 4 that BP is going to be maxed out into ineffectiveness. Somehow though they always seem to find a way ,
  17. Have a feeling the Tigers and Twins will drop more games this week as they both have tough opponents. Taking 2 of 3 would be massive. Want as much distance between them and the Whtie Sox when we meet next.
  18. Gonna be there all three. I get fired up for this series. I hate the Cubs. Our teams play the same sport--in the same league--in the same city. As far as I'm concerned if you grew up here and that doesn't mean anything to you you're either (1) an odd sports fan entirely out of step with the natural, universal dynamic of intra-city sports rivalries everywhere or (2) you're lying. I'm not afraid to say this series matters to me and I have zero time for the cowardly Cub fan passive-aggressive, bet-hedging, weaponized indifference pose. "I don't even think about the Sox - watch me spend my whole life incessantly explaining to you how little I think about them." Fvck the Cubs, now and forever.
  19. Might have to toss a couple bucks on a Vargas bomb.
