I'm a fan of Chase Meidroth, but Will Venable batting him cleanup is almost a fireable offense. Park him at number 8 in the everyday lineup and leave him there.

Logan Webb has been awful lately. The Giants will get Luisangel Acuna and they will like it.

The good news for everyone is that all lineups will improve greatly upon Mune's imminent return.

I'd get the straight As/perfect attendance tickets and would go to a few games with my dad back in the early 70s. He would leave me in the seats, there was probably another family nearby to keep an eye on me, and he'd get a couple shots and beers somewhere.

Lackey and Emerson having the same Power grade is interesting. I also think a 55 glove for Lackey is light. Baseball is moving towards an automated zone so arm, pop time and mobility behind the plate become the metrics that matter most as controlling the run game shoots up the priority list and his pop time is 1.85 seconds. I think the arm is also light. I had read somewhere earlier this year he'd been clocked at 95mph out of the pop.

From Joe Doyle's draft intel piece today. Posting some but not all of it. This is the second time Santarelli has been mentioned by Doyle and the White Sox which I find surprising. The power is stupid good, but corner prep bats really aren't the White Sox type.

He really doesn't have time to build innings this year anyway, but he really should go back to the rotation next year, somewhere.

It's well documented from multiple outlets. Bannister thought Taylor couldn't accumulate starting pitching innings quickly enough due to his injury history etc. Instead of pitching in a relief role in the minors; he's doing it in the big leagues. The expectation is that he'll come to 2027 spring training as a starter. The team has reservations about his health as a starter due to extension, pitchers with similar profiles etc but I believe that Taylor and his representatives will push for a chance to start.
