NH: Yeah it’s been great. You know I love Zack, he started out slow this year. You know you’re a scouting director and as a scout you are personally involved in these players. And once you draft a guy you hang on to every single box score for your kids. You know, does he get a hit, does he strike out. So, Zack’s slow start was a little tough, and its funny, I talked to Zack and he laughed it off. He’s like, “don’t worry about it my timing, it’s getting there.” And about three days later, he starts raking. He sent me a text two days ago, two or three days ago after he had a two-hit game with a couple of doubles, maybe even a triple. I think it was the triple game. He actually said, “see I told you, you knew you drafted a good player, but I bet you didn’t know you drafted good speed too.” I mean, you got a 21-year-old, 22-year-old keeping it light-hearted when he’s struggling. You got to take a step back and take a breath. Trust the process. It has been a lot of fun to watch these guys. It’s going to be more fun once they end up in pinstripes.

Believe me, you're not alone in your opinions of this ownership/management team of the White Sox. I've been a season ticket holder for years and I haven't been as down on this team/ownership/management since the late 1980s when JR almost moved the team to Florida. Most of the games I've been to have had the team losing and losing badly. The atmosphere has been depressing. The upper deck has been closed at most of these games because of the sparse crowds. They announced a crowd of 13,000 tickets sold last Thursday night. They didn't have 2,000 fans at the game. A lot of the season ticket holders aren't even showing up at the games. Recently MLB executive Tony Clark made a statement about certain teams not trying to win and he didn't think it was fair to the fans of those teams. I don't know what if anything MLB can do about situations like this but I wish they would do something. I never thought the White Sox would have a team as bad as the 1970 White Sox (they lost 106 games) but Unless things really change I can see this present team being as bad as that one.

Is it safe to say Eloy Jimenez has been figured out? He just popped out in foul territory. Awful.

Basabe just had a really great heads-up play, even if it resulted in nothing. Ball 4 was a pitch way outside that the catcher couldn't get, and he took off hauling ass, attempting to get to 2B on a walk. He ended up not testing it, but it was a great idea that actually confused me initially.

I'll preface this by saying I realize FB comments on NBCSN FB page and similar news outlets are absolutely horrible and ill-informed, but I found these two talking points particularly bad..... One guy said the Sox should go ahead and call up Eloy so he can "set the single-season strikeout record", which obviously makes no sense considering Eloy doesn't strikeout very much at all, especially for a power guy. Another guy argued that Eloy must be a loser if he's spent 5 years in the minors and can only make it to AA. He's way too old and clearly sucks if it takes him this long to make the majors. Not only will Eloy likely be younger than any Cubs player when they made their debut (except for Russell), but he is also 3 years younger than the average AA hitter.

I got the W-S game on my computer, and the Birmingham video on my phone. Loving it.

Pujols. You look back and its easy to forget just how good he was for the Cardinals. I thought my answer would be Miguel Cabrera but Pujols was so stinking good too. That 8 year run he had in St. Louis (can't remember when) where he was an 8 WAR player at first freaking base...insanity.

Every manager with a terrible bullpen looks terrible. Sox lead the league in issuing walks, and are dead last in strikeouts from our pitchers. Last year our bullpen was quite good for 2/3s fo the season and remarkably we could hang around and take some late leads. Tougher when you are never hanging on. THey will be less bad than this, but maybe not that much less.

I'd like to reiterate how furious I would be if FOX cancels Brooklyn 99.

Not to mention with Nia that apparently she hurt Alexa Bliss as she now has a shoulder injury. I'm with you, Nia is awful and I've never been a fan. The tag match with Owens and Zayn was just pointless and dumb the way it happened. I'm surprised more people didn't boo because it was an extremely boring match. I was actually entertained by the Joe/Reigns match for the first two minutes, but everyone knew what was coming. Amazes me that Reigns gets dominated entire match and pulls off one spear and wins. How is the creative team this clueless? Just awful writing. Despite the predictability of the outcome, the match between Rollins and Miz was amazing. Rollins is back and the future of this business again. Also, how the hell does Finn Balor not have a match here?

“Lol...” Lol, indeed. ”you can hate or be skeptical of the front office all you want” Oh, and we are, and justifiably so. Williams and Hahn have been 1-2 and 2-1 at the top of the Sox’ management group since 2001. Yet just two postseason appearances in 18 years under their leadership? Just one since the WS appearance 13 years ago (and a very brief one at that!)? Not one appearance in almost a decade now? Oh, you better believe skepticism is out and about as it relates to how this fan base views this front office. All knowledgeable fans are beyond skeptical at this point with the level of incompetence exhibited by this front office. “but people need to stop being surprised this team sucks” That’s the issue - we ARE NOT surprised! We are use to them sucking! They’ve sucked for longer than we care to remember. The key is we WANT them to STOP sucking. To date, they have not stopped that from happening. “and trying to use that as further evidence that the front office is incompetent” We are all open to evidence to the contrary. “The team is supposed to suck right now by design” As opposed to the recent teams who performed at the same level as this one which were “designed” to be “All In” and/or “Going for it”. You never can tell the difference with the teams this management group fields each year. “ignoring that just makes some of you look like total fools” Attendance, TV & radio ratings of recent years suggest the “total fools” are those folks who ignore how the facts of this team’s recent (and long term) results have impacted the current and potential fan base.

One thing is hard to argue. Renteria wasn't good enough for the Cubs...at least, not when they had the resources to get one of the top tier guys in Maddon. It does kind of get old when we're supposed to believe that Hahn is actually smarter than Epstein about staff/personnel decisions. What exactly would our belief be based upon there?

The guy only has 35 games, and 142 PA at AA. His #s have gotten slightly better offensively at AA compared to A+. AA - .864 OPS. 36 BB (25.25%) : 37 K (26.06%). ISO .198 A+ - .828 OPS. 109 BB (18.83%) :157 K (27.12%). ISO .217 If the Sox can get a catcher that can adequately handle the position while posting an OB% around .375, hitting around 20 HRs, and an OPS around .800 sign me up. Do not care if he hits .220.
