  1. On the merits yes but in reality he'll need a week to check some boxes with Madrigal.
  2. He's giving the team some cover for the first week of the season. K rate is now above 5%.....boxes still left to check!
  3. He talked about how espn acts like we dont exist.
  4. Robert should be a 5+ WAR player annually with a little bit of work at the plate.
  5. TA calling out espn.....that was great
  6. I agree but service time seems to be priority one for them.
  7. I dont believe so, but perhaps they need to fill a few pitching spots in the beginning for a week or so in order to keep Heuer and Dunning down for service time.
  8. He might be on the borderline for the 30 man roster and maybe they want to see if he sinks or swims.
  9. God forbid we can have even one legit LHH in the lineup.
  10. My guess as of the moment: Pitchers 1. Giolito 2. Keuchel 3. Cease 4. Rodon 5. Lopez 6. Gonzalez 7. Bummer 8. Colome 9. Cordero 10. Cishek 11. Marshall 12. Fry 13. Heuer 14. Herrera 15. Fulmer Position Players 17. Grandal 18. Abreu 19. Mendick 20. Anderson 21. Moncada 22. Jimenez 23. Robert 24. Mazara 25. Encarnacion 26. Garcia 27. Engel 28. McCann 29. Cuthbert 30. Collins 3 man taxi traveling squad Dunning, Mercedes, Madrigal* *Expected to be brought up in place of Cuthbert or Collins once service time issues out of the way.
  11. Is it too much to ask that Yoan get in for at least an inning in tomorrow's scrimmage?
  12. How could there be a lockout this off-season when there is an existing CBA in force that covers 2021?
  13. Sounds like JR is greasing the skids to justify a lean 2021 budget and then a lockout wipes out 2022 so basically like 1994 they are gonna kneecap a good portion of our championship window. Thanks, JR.
  14. Yermin was like 5 years older so no he didn't go toe to toe with him in AAA. Thats like saying a college senior went toe to toe in high school AP Chemistry with an 11 year old genius taking the same class and getting the same grade.
  15. Great job Dane! If Lopez doesn't kick it into high gear, Dunning could steal his spot in the rotation as the 5.
  16. Yep Cooper just stepped in it. Jeez
  17. Collins will definitely make it. If they are gonna squeeze 60 games into like 61 days that's rough, they will need a third catcher who can work a 1B/DH rotation with Abreu and Encarnacion esp since the division is filled with righties.
  18. If him sitting out has something to do with what "his role" was going to be this year as Fegan suggested, its debatable as to whether they handled it well or not.
  19. Why? If he clears the protocol he should be back practicing around July 17th which should give him a week to get ready. He can do more drills and extra BP after practice to get back in the groove.
  20. Lol....they got the 2019 year of service time back of course they were going to show tons of empathy.
  21. Right before the July one was gonna start I read it.
