  1. I've never liked LaRussa, even during his first turn with the White Sox in the 80's. But, even though he's a sleepy 100 year old and had an awful year in 2022, I would rather have him manage the 2024 White Sox than Grifol. I saw no redeeming managerial skills exhibited by Grifol in 2023.
  2. Here we go again. Dejong has a lifetime OBP of .299. Just start Montgomery. He'll be 22 when the 2024 season starts. Robin Ventura was 22 in his rookie year. He had a tough first season, but the next year he had 100 RBI.
  3. Seems crazy to me. Thirty million for three years? I don't think Lopez is worth anywhere near that much.
  4. For you youngsters out there, Harry and Jimmy were the best.
  5. I won't miss him. I never cared for his generic announcer voice or silly segues.
  6. Thames is a former ML player with a lifetime BA of .246 and an OBP of .309. He should fit in well with the White Sox.
  7. Can anyone imagine Jerry paying $40 million over 5 years for a manager?
  8. I'm grateful that Kopech hasn't walked anyone yet today. Oops, I spoke too soon.
  9. I was concerned that the Sox were going to win, but the relievers came through late. Why stop at 100 losses?
  10. I was concerned the Sox would win this one, but they came through late. Phew!
  11. Close. I guess you just can't lose them all. Edging the Twins doesn't help the White Sox goal of 100 losses. Come on boys, we know you can still do it.
  12. Hopefully, another notch in the 2023 White Sox goal of 100 losses this season.
  13. Just what every team wants, a relief pitcher with no control.
  14. I view yesterday's game as a hiccup in the 2023 White Sox quest for a 100 loss season. Hopefully, the Sox will get back on track tonight with a loss. You know how it goes, even bad teams win occasionally.
  15. The White Sox haven't been playing well this year.
  16. Should the Sox just let Kopech go, or give him one more year? He's walked 56 batters in his last 52 innings pitched. That's crazy bad.
  17. White Sox pitchers have allowed 44 earned runs in the last 34 innings. It's been like ML hitters facing high school pitchers.
  18. The White Sox pitchers have allowed 25 earned runs in 16 innings so far in Colorado. Not bad.
  19. Everyone in the White Sox organization, management, staff, players should be ashamed. This has been one of the most pitiful seasons in White Sox history.
