  1. So now semen is a "gift", huh? Hmmm.... 1. I never knew I was so generous!! 2. In THAT guy's case, it's the gift that KEEPS ON GIVING!!!! 3. Now I know what I'm giving the Mrs. for her birthday!!!! 4. Hey, Honey, I made it MYSELF!!!
  2. I didn't say it wouldn't sell out, I just said it'll be a s***ty show, not worth more than 5 bucks. The only match I'd be interested in seeing from this year's lineup so far is Michaels vs. Angle. SmackDown is s*** lately, since they demoted/punished/squashed Paul Heyman, and Raw is only moderately interesting. I watch mostly from habit now, and I frequently turn it off before 9pm. JBL is a GAWD-AWFUL champ, worst I can remember since the way-too-soon Orton title run, and Batista isn't ready for a belt. I'd like to see ANYONE other than Mr. Stephanie McMahon with the strap, but even if they allow Batista to hold the title, his reign will be sabotaged by the Sammy Sosa of wrestling, Tripsy. It's painfully obvious that Vinnie Mac is only hungry and creative when he has serious competition, and that hasn't been the case since he purchased wCw. TNA is a joke, and everyone else runs their shows in high school gymnasiums or in Japan.
  3. QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Feb 24, 2005 -> 03:41 PM) Wrestlemania 2 was in Chicago, along with NYC and LA. Wrestlemania 3 was in Detroit with Hogan vs. Andre.Wrestlemania 13 was also in Chicago. I'm surprised they aren't using the United Center, seeing as to how it is the bigger arena. I know in years past they had a hard time, because WCW had a deal with the UC, but there is no WCW anymore. Oh well.. The WWE has a contract with the Allstate. They hold all their events there. Don't know how long the contract is for, but I'm sure it's an exclusive deal. At the rate the WWE is slipping, by next year WM won't be worth a 5 buck ticket.
  4. QUOTE(OldRetiredGuy @ Feb 24, 2005 -> 02:27 PM) Every generation should have their own artists that speak to their experiences, the times that they are living in. I think it is far scarier for kids today to be listening to recycled 60s and 70s hits than to have their own music no matter how crappy. So no matter how gifted and talented I believe Dylan to be, kids -- find your own damn muse. I agree 100%, O.R.G.! Enjoy Dylan's stuff, for sure, as well as whoever else you like from the past - for me the #1 "old" band is Thin Lizzy - but also concentrate on finding great new music. Dig around, there's tons of great bands out there.
  5. QUOTE(CubKilla @ Feb 23, 2005 -> 10:48 PM) Election recounts are gonna be as common as lawyers suing from now on. Cicero is so corrupt. According to the residents, an EX-COP who OWNED A BAR in violation of Dept. policy and who frequently met for B-FAST WITH MAFIA MEMBERS was the better choice to clean up Cicero? ....lesser of two evils, maybe?......
  6. QUOTE(winodj @ Feb 24, 2005 -> 07:27 AM) If by all white, you mean a third minority (3 hispanic, 1 asian), you'd be correct. HA! Perhaps "no African-Americans" is more accurate than "all-white". Maybe there are some African-Americans with the same "skin disease" that Michael has, who also treat their hair until it's straight like his. He doesn't know....so he shouldn't judge.... Besides, I thought "it doesn't matter if you're black or white"......
  7. Did you see that Betty Loren-Maltese's hand-picked-from-prison successor, Ramiro Gonzalez, lost the election for Town President to Larry Dominick? It's not 100% official yet, because the race was close enough to allow the Maltese Machine to contest the results and get a recount. First thing Dominick did was vow to remove Ed Vrdolyak from any position of influence or employment in Cicero politics. Politically, Cicero is even more f***ed-up than the Daley Empire, and THAT's hard to do.
  8. The Pope can believe what he wants to believe, and he's speaking for his group of followers. ( Probably not 100% of his followers, but I can't even guess what percentage ). Religion is a belief system, not a fact-based system. Doesn't make the Pope right - he's right in the opinion of those who believe, but not for all. Me? I just try to get through life without hurting anyone and without anyone hurting me or my family. Beyond that, I can't control anyone else.
  9. Guess he's not counting the 3,985,746 flyballs he misjudged in right field.
  10. QUOTE(Cali @ Feb 23, 2005 -> 05:50 PM) Those don't look like just ST hats they look like hats that could be worn in the regular season. The ST ones have that mesh look on the hat portion and usually a "sandwich" style bill with 2 different colors. I was basing my assumption on the fact that the Sox never wore their silver billed caps after ST. The Giants have that "G" hat that I'm pretty sure they wear only in spring, and the Baby Bears have that stupid "walking bear" cap that they only wear during ST. So I'm guessing that the O's are following that trend. I knda like that O's hat, though - too bad I can't wear one now that Corky the Gladiator is there.
  11. Have you seen the Orioles new spring training caps yet? It says "O's" in orange on a black cap with an orange bill. Wonder how long it'll take before SamME's cap has an extra S and an A? sO'sa
  12. Butter, I agree with your concerns about Contreras and Hernandez, but IMO there's no reason to worry about injuries with MB. He's shown nothing to make that a concern, other than a general concern that you can tag on anyone. Freddy's had success at the major league level, and there's really not much reason to think he won't be good this year. Garland will be counted on to get through the sixth. The Sox bullpen is very deep this year, and the 7th, 8th and 9th are well accounted for. I'll take my chances with Duque and Jose. The pitching staff is a lot less of a worry than it was last year.

    Cola

I enjoy Coca-Cola. And I call it soda. So there.
  14. QUOTE(sec159row2 @ Feb 23, 2005 -> 12:08 PM) sounds like you are morphing into a cubs fan... If being a true Sox fan means stressing myself out 162 times a year, that's too much like work. I'm at a point I never thought I'd be at - even the loss of an entire hockey season only upsets me in a very general sense. When I was younger, I would have been LIVID if the NHL skipped an entire season. Now it just seems pointless to get that upset about something that will happen whether or not I jump up and down and pout.
  15. Maybe I'm just too old to care, but I find myself less and less interested in whether or not these guys are on roids. I just watch the games and root root root for the White Sox. It took a long time for me to detach myself and just enjoy the game as entertainment. I want the Sox to win, but it doesn't upset me as much if they don't. It's a lot more relaxing this way.

    President's Day

    Now THAT's a G.W.!! I give ol' George a HOLLA every time I look at a DOLLA!!!
  18. Would it then be the Sandy Cup? ....I'm not in favor of the idea - let the Cup sit in the Hockey Hall Of Fame for another year. Or in Tampa or wherever it is now.
  19. QUOTE(Jake @ Jan 21, 2005 -> 11:09 PM) Someone please tell me what this is He asked her if she wanted to SuperSize it.... R-Mac....what a playa.....
  20. I honestly don't care. The whole thing is over. Both sides are getting on with their own seasons. Best of luck to him, except for 19 games.
  21. QUOTE(rangercal @ Feb 21, 2005 -> 04:40 AM) Is it a coincidence that everything about her some how gets put to public? i.e sex tape, phone hack. Attention seeking conspiracy? Not likely but what if? That was actually the first thing I thought of. I can see her being stupid enough to do that without realizing/caring what it would do to the people on her phone list.
  22. I laughed out loud this morning when I heard the report of the "agreement in principle". There's no way these two groups of dumbs***s can agree on anything. I'd have been absolutely shocked if these morons could have done a deal to UN-CANCEL ( what a stupid term, by the way....revive would have been better semantics ) the season. The NHL and NHLPA deserve the international embarrassment they've caused for the sport.
  23. I'm sure that this will kick the negotiations into high gear, to prevent this from happening again next year.... Congratulations to the NHL and NHLPA for being the first league/labor union to figure out a way to piss away an entire scheduled season and playoffs. Tell them what they've won, Johnny Olson..... "well, Bob, they've won COMPLETE IRRELEVANCE!! Thaaaaaaat's riiiiiiight, NHL owners and players, you no longer mean ANYTHING to ANYONE!!!!!!! As a bonus prize, we've got EXTINCTION for 6 to 10 NHL franchises, which also means 120 to 200 pink slips for NHL Players Union Members!!!!!!" :puke and :fyou to both sides of this mess....
