Agreed but that's not really observable either. We don't know if he's fooled or just not seeing it. He's had some stretches where he looks like he has no issues. Imo he just takes a while to adjust back.

Yes very much so. Luis Robert has always struck me as a tad uncoachable. Complete lack of approach/adjustments throughout his career. And that is a complete hot take on my part.

Robert always has 4 days where he's red hot and two weeks where he looks clueless.

A lineup with Jake and yoan is better than a lineup with yoan and elvis. I see your point defensively but there is more of a chance that Jake improves defensively if he's playing everyday.

This should be a no brainer. Is Moncada better defensively? Absolutely. Is he reliable? Not at all. He is owed nothing and if him playing a bit at 2nd is better for the team and gets us a better lineup he should just do it. Did Burger have some injuries last year? Yup. Dude doesn't play when he feels tired or nearing a slump and you'll never convince me otherwise. If he plays instead of Alberto TA never gets hurt and things don't spiral. Let Burger play. No. They had fantastic talent with wonderful contracts to turnover with Sale, Quintana, even Eaton. They have nothing to offer now. The same incompetent clowns who tried it last time will not do better with less resources. There are no good options.

Did this team have a 7 - 12 start during the tank years? I feel like even the 2017 squad started the season the like 15 - 13. This is pure misery. I don't remember ever completely tuning out before April 20 but I pretty much have. Happy with the decision not to renew season tix.

This is correct in regards to lopez. He failed as a starter because his head is a mess. Middle long reliever was kind of perfect for him and we should've foreseen some issues messing with that. Sox found the one role he was effective in, shouldve left it alone. But ill admit I thought his stuff was good enough to overcome it.

I've never seen a team with such a short attention span. 4 pretty quality games in Houston then nothing since.
