I dunno if you heard his podcast with Chuck but Ray wanted to stay. Said he'd take a home town discount but nobody ever approached him. Was blindsided by the trade. I was livid when it happened and that brought it all back. Ray had some great years after he left.

Regular reminder that Getz reluctance to sign ANY closer is what has made these losing seasons historic.....offensive woes aside.

I've only caught like 5 minutes of this game tonight but I've seen 2 plays that should've been appealed.

Every two weeks we have 4 or 5 games that give me hope. That hope is then immediately destroyed by a series like this.

I talked to her at a Thunderbolts game last summer. Told her we loved her and asked if she was ever coming back to the ballpark. She very plainly said they need to ask me first.....glad whatever it is is worked out for now. I'll go to games just for her.

One of my favorite things about Quero at the plate is that he knows what the situation calls for. He has an excellent eye, will take the walk, but the other night when they needed a run, he expanded the zone on 3-1 to try to bring the run in. Didn't work, but it was absolutely the right approach. Very smart at the plate.

Today specifically er just in general? Len and Dj are about a thousand times better. I listened to most of one last week on the radio, it was enjoyable

Spotlight and unrealistic expectations are two different things.

Part of the problem is that these young kids are anointed as saviors for this organization way before they're ready. It can absolutely mess with the head of a young kid just trying to put it all together when everyone looks at them to solve the organizations massive problems. This of course comes from the fact that the team refuses to bring in actual, proven major league players, so the only thing fans have to lean on is prospects. Bringing them to "soxfest" and already pretending they are future household names is a horrible idea. It might not effect all, but I believe it absolutely has played a role in Colson's struggles.

He's a good dude. Id rather he just put it together, but part of this game is hard decisions. And the White Sox usually mess those up.

Fine. Let him get exposed. He deserves a shot. Let him have a good week up here until the league adjusts and he's sent back down. Let that process play out.

The awareness of this organization is nothing. Members of the front office are always the smartest Baseball minds in the room. Even as they trudge on as now perpetual 100 game losers, they're the only ones who know what they're talking about. I swear between Reinsdorf, and the baseball execs he recruits, they refuse to make moves just to spite the fanbase. Sometimes I feel there's no other explanation.

Right........doesn't that kind of argue against your point? Either way someone else said it they just sold hogh on that dude. That last core failed because a bunch of young studs were resting on their laurels of which they had none.

I came here today assuming Elko would be called up. This is, by faaaar, the dumbest organization in sports. And they out do themselves regularly. At this point it's just cruel to Elko not to bring him up. Let him go elsewhere if you're just going to dick the kid over.

Hes better with Schriffen. I think he's still bad with Stone. But I don't hate him with Schriffen.
