I wonder if big George is a little banged up or if he's taking a mental health break on his path to the hall of fame.

The size of the strike zone is one of the problems with skipping levels. A year ago he was in college now he's in AA where the strike zone is half the size. He's throwing pitches that he's used to getting called strikes that are now balls. He'll get it dialed in. Just gonna need a little time to adjust.

He was dealing with an off the field issue last year and it seems his back injury was a little more serious than they were letting on so some bad luck and bad timing. Either way he needs to get his head out of his ass. It's go time.

I'm not sure if that's the case here. The last month of last season he looked really good and then he carried it into the AFL and that's when the talk of him making the opening day roster started. He spent the rest of the off season working out at his agents facility in Tennessee and showed up to spring training and looked bad and it's carried over to triple A. It seems they have to undo whatever the hell his agents "hitting gurus" did to him this off season.

I didn't know Ortiz was so awful.

The state legislature is supposed to meet in May to vote on the stadium funding issue.

He's thrown 80 something innings over the last 3+ years. If he manages to stay healthy he'll very likely be able to pitch out of the bullpen this year. I don't think starting is in his future.

Boozer looks really good. I'm surprised Boston let him go. He's what playoff teams look for. If he continues to throw it like this he's gonna be very popular at the trade deadline.

Cannon is a bulldog. Dude just battles. If he can clean up a couple things and stay away from that big inning he's gonna be a solid starter in this league.

Bonemer was very good in the summer/fall and was considered a top half of the 1st round guy going into the spring. In one of my stupid early mocks I had him going to the Tigers at 1-11. Then he went out and had a terrible spring and I'm not sure why. Maybe he was playing thru something or maybe he made an adjustment and it didn't work. Whatever the reason he was bad but if he's the guy from the summer/fall and not the guy from the spring which is the direction he's trending he's gonna be an absolute steal.

This dude can play the hell out of CF.
