Will Abreu be a White Sox in 2023?
Yes!

Will Abreu be a White Sox in 2023?
Left-handed power bats are not that easy to find. He will be on our bench (as he should be) before he is traded for nothing IMO.

Where these players should start the season in 2023
He has potential to be the most improved player om 2023.

Sheets has considerably more value than to trade him for "an aging RP" IMO.

Rule changes voted in Friday...
I am also a fan of the pitch clock. It is not entertaining to watch a pitcher gather his courage to throw another ball out and away from the hitter he is obviously afraid of.

9/8 White Sox @ Athletics 8:40 CT
I keep wondering if he has some form of long lasting Covid after illness. He can really seem lethargic at times.

9/8 White Sox @ Athletics 8:40 CT
I Yoan starts hitting like he can, and Robert can stay healthy for a month...this lineup takes on a whole new look. This game looked like what many of us expected to be a frequent occurrence.
- TLR out for the year

9/7 - White Sox @ Mariners 3:10CST
I hated taking Eloy out of a tie game with one out. Worked like a charm.

Is Elvis Andrus a possibility to play second for us in 2023?
He fell into our lap at the perfect time...has been great...and is extra baggage when Tim returns. I'm sure he will finish out the year with us and we will get to see him teamed with TA. His salary would need to be around $5 million for RH to bite IMO.

So is Gavin Sheets for real?
I would prefer a different FO make these decisions.

So is Gavin Sheets for real?
Agreed! Good teams make these hard decisions to best utilize their resources.

9/2 GT: Sox v. Twinkies 710CT - A new leaf turned?
So...I guess different managers do different things.

TLR out for the year
Sad but probably true.

TLR out for the year
This is where I'm at. A HOF manager should retire with some dignity.

So is Gavin Sheets for real?
Smart teams don't keep the 20-million-dollar aging player while trading the cheap young stud. I like that JR is loyal to his people but the Konerko farewell tour was not enjoyable. I hope the WS hire a talent evaluator GM and RH can serve as a contract specialist or leave. Williams is long past his prime and should retire as he has wanted to do for years.

Perspective Desperately Needed
I tend to agree with you. Bill couldn't afford to play the money game with the big boys. Veeck made up for his lack of money with tons of wheeler-dealer trades. Trades are a fan favorite and he understood that. The current FO doesn't make anywhere near the number of deals that fans like. We seem conservative and cheap to the average fan. I don't think we are cheap at all but we spend the money poorly.

Sox Get Roasted On MLB Network
My guess is that LaRussa will be "promoted." I would love a house cleaning of the FO, manager, and coaches. Hire from outside the organization a President of Operations and give him a budget. The three-headed monster that is our FO (JR, KW, and RH) leaves no one responsible for getting results. I hate watching players who don't hustle and cannot stay on the field because they are made of glass. I would happily take the number 2 man from Tampa and take my chances.

Heads Up: Site is all upgraded and we are back
Sounds boring.

Sox get swept by Dbacks
The "give a shit" improvement you mention would be most helpful IMO. We have been out-hustled in virtually every game.

You named my two favorite managers and the reason why.

8/25- Sox at Orioles, 6:05
Yep.

Harrison...brain cramp.

8/25- Sox at Orioles, 6:05
I enjoyed last night's lineup with neither Leury nor Hendricks in it. Their replacement looked competent instead of "peppy".
