10/5- Twins at Sox, 3:10
Maybe coach 1st base next year if he is sincere about retirement.

10/4- Twins at Sox, 7:10
Tony was always fooling with the lineups so we would be ready to hit like this for the playoffs. They do look well rested.

White Sox Mgr Speculation Thread
I like Jirschele a lot.

Will "core" players be traded before Spring Training?
I agree with you. Before we start dismantling the "core", let's see what a good manager and coaching staff can do.

White Sox Mgr Speculation Thread
One of those three would be good!

The case for Katz?
I hope we don't hire anyone that dumb.

Mark Gonzales wonders what is next?...
I'll be watching but I really don't care if they win or not. It's a long winter.

TLR out for the year
Whoever becomes the manager of the White Sox...please let him select his own coaches. These forced marriages don't work.

Embarrassing
Yeah...I know. At some point a guy of Jerry's age needs to realize he has at least some responsibility to his customers. Since we have the 7th highest payroll in baseball...I'm not really complaining about the dollars spent. My beef is holding the people accountable that are paid to produce a good product. I have supported the FO as much as anyone, but it is now time to bring in fresh talent.

Embarrassing
I would think a rich sportsman would have some pride. I'm talk to you Jerry!

Fire Rick Hahn
Our front office is unique in that JR, Kenny, and RH work on these things together in large part. This front office won't be fixed until new ownership cleans house. I believe that Kenny is the player evaluator guy and RH is the contract guy. Since JR is the money guy, they all get into the act. It's very hard for JR to blame RH when he was part of the problem.

TLR out for the year
Bochy and Jirschele where my choices when TL was hired. Nothing has changed.
-
Embarrassing
I'm not the least bit embarrassed. Jerry, Kenny, and Rick did this without any help from the fans.

Roster thought exercise...
Again, I ask...who are the talent evaluators?

Roster thought exercise...
Dickman, Kelly, Grandal, and Graveman are the most annoying. All of them are overpaid and worthless.

9/25 Tigers @ White Sox - The No Game Thread Yet? Gamethread
Some credit needs to go to Jerry and Ken.

This group of players has quit and is not playing hard anymore
Lots to look forward to. A new FO with a new manager and coaches. Lots of players to use in off season deals. Remember..."a new broom clean."

Your 2023 Off-Season Plan
A talent evaluator brought into the FO would be a welcome addition. We obviously aren't very good at that.

Your 2023 Off-Season Plan
If Hahn is back and I think he will be...I expect our off season to be Tony retires for health reasons and we pray for better health. A new manager brings in a mostly new coaching staff and we part ways with Jose. Vaughn is our 1st baseman with Eloy the DH. We bring up Colas and we see hope for a better season.

The White Sox cannot be fixed by next season
Sounds bad when you say it like that.

Your GM & Manager 2023 Preference
I agree with both points. The Tampa FO has proved they are good evaluators of talent and operate with next to nothing for payroll. Quatraro being from that organization might be expected to know a few things. Jirschele will be my actual preference for the manager's job. I'm getting on record with my Jirschele pick because that will be the front and center topic as soon as we finish this disappointing season.

DVS drops the hammer...
Just sign Aaron Judge this off season and all will be forgiven.

DVS drops the hammer...
I have often been a defender of RH in the past. However, his signing of Leury to a 3-year contract at 5.5 per year was pathetic. One year at 5 million with an option for 5.5 should have been more than enough to acquire his services. I think Hahn is a very good contracts guy, but his player decisions leave me perplexed. How did Kelly deserve a 7+ million contract coming off an injury? Just because 5 or 6 million isn't a fortune in today's baseball world doesn't mean we should throw it away on marginal talent. At the least I hope we realign the FO jobs with the skill sets they have demonstrated. RH is not a talent evaluator.

Talent or Desire?
Who could disagree?
