AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER CARLOS RODON NO HITTER EDITION!!!!!
The changeup is a big new asset. Stoney and I were both calling for it on the slider that became a HBP. Shoulda, woulda....

And that's a White Sox Loser!
I did get a good laugh or two out of Williams trying to swing at high heat. My swipes are Tony are not juvenile. They are wise and mature. ?

And that's a White Sox Loser!
If Ricky had started the 10th with Butterfingers Crochet pitching, he'd have been accused of putting players in a position to fail.

White Sox Winner!!!
Nick was on 2B. He doesn't score on a clean fielder's choice at 2B.

Golf, if measured by rounds played, had a resurgence last year, fueled by pandemic related safety concerns.

The TLR Manager Thread
Tony's halo is still intact. No tarnish either. Ricky's horns likewise. Both have the same problem: In the end, a manager is as good as his bullpen. Gee, wasn't Ozzie a great manager in 2005 and a clown two years later? Gimme that '05 'pen and I'll be a great manager.

What we learned from Opening Day
He did lay off a few outside sliders in Spring Training and I thought he had it made. Guess I didn't watch enough in Spring Training. Madrigal's either snakebit or overrated. He's gotta pick up the pace. Right now he's on the low end of mediocre.

Good news here. Wife and I had second Moderna Tuesday and no side effects yet. Fingers crossed.

Since the genetic information used here to develop the vaccine was provided by China, and China and Russia already have vaccines, what the hell are you talking about?

COVID-19/Coronavirus thread
Walgreen's haha. I got my first (Moderna) 3/2 and was scheduled for my second 3/30. But it was entered in their computer system as if I had gotten Pfizer. So I got a frantic call from them saying my second appointment was invalid. Which it wasn't and I got them straightened out, after some difficulty. There's a reason CVS is kicking their butt.

Petition to Move Eloy to DH Permanently
He's hurt himself running the bases. DH'ing doesn't help out there. I'm not worried about him or any fielder jumping into the netting. It's actually a way to make some great catches no one would have attempted in the old days. Solution? Lotsa tape and fingers crossed.

More of Manfred's Bullshit
Go stand where you have less chance of catching the ball. Sounds like a plan. ?

It was the stock symbol on the NYSE before the merger and the name of their freestanding fast casual restaurants. I thought it was common since I heard it many times.

3/23 - White Sox @ Cubs - 3:05
y They seem to have his number. Optimism would be unadvisable at this point. Choke up? Go to right field? Anything to get the feel back. Worry about the awesome power later.

Try Wag's at 6 AM. That's when they put up the new appointment times. It's when we got ours. Let me know how you did.

Long ago Sox GM Trader Frank Lane was a master at trading mediocrity to get better mediocrity. We could use someone like him right here. Got mediocrity in bunches.

Their website's biffed up, for sure. Mrs. Stanky and I got scheduled for Tuesday (today) on Saturday at 6 AM when they put the openings up, but our second shots are at different (but closeby) stores than the first. I got the Moderna jab and no adverse reaction 9 hours later.- 2020 NBA Regular Season Thread
Right you are. The best things he does are probably the little things that don't show in the box score (positioning, screening) that he picked up from Robin Lopez who was a master at them. What we need in the middle is someone with, for want of a better word, an ass, who doesn't get pushed around at will. Playing Young with Kornet actually seemed to work a bit last night, even though neither guy could guard Joker or has an identifiable ass. ?- 2020 NBA Regular Season Thread
He says he's a power forward, he has the size of a power forward and the team is playing him out of position. Most of that is not his fault.- Golf/PGA TOUR thread
Unmatched clubs are not the stigma they were 40 years ago. If you buy what you need, when you need it, you leave open the option of spending big money if you find out that you're really good later on. Lee Trevino once said "It's not the arrow, it's the Indian." (sorry, PC police) ?- 2020 NBA Regular Season Thread
