Grandal Vs. McCann
I got the answer for him. Stop batting left handed. ? Can't hurt, might help.

Grandal Vs. McCann
For sure he's making my love of the OPS stat look silly. Weakest high OPS guy I ever could imagine, to this point. Hitting? Show me any time you want, Yas.

5/8/21 And That's A White Sox Can of Whup Ass
The Royals won a WS with that approach, so KC announcers would be aware of when they see it. 11 would have been a nice number, but is it crooked? Gotta feel for the nice crowd in the stands when their team is down 8 by the time they get comfy in their seats. Talk about boring.

Grandal Vs. McCann
I recall Reinsdorf being against it before Navarro. He made an exception for Jaime. Sometime the owners are smarter than the people who run the team and that applies in other cities and other sports as well.

The TLR Manager Thread
Len and Jason didn't know the rule either. I wonder if Stoney did.. Either way, TLR was taking it in the rear with tornadic force on the 670 postgamer.

The TLR Manager Thread
If you leave the politics out of it, it becomes just another cheap shot. Stories are hard to come by in the Journalism Business nowadays. I cranked my pixels to the max and was able to see my old Chicago home. It's the bluest spot of all! ?

The TLR Manager Thread
Isn't TLR's mother's side Cuban? That explains it! ?

White Sox Game 1 Winner!
Hendriks looks so much better when he has more than one pitch going. The slider was working today. Don't forget to bring it along next game, Liam.

Ethan Katz
That would be too much like the losing politicians taking analyst jobs on TV to criticize the winners. Except this would be uglier. I'd avoid listening to it.

Tigers @ Sox 4/29 Game 2
If Grandal wants to play offense with half a field, what's the defense supposed to do? Yas has to adjust. The old "Where's he gonna play" story. An embarrassment of riches.

White Sox (Hendriks) v. Twins (Colome)
If anyone enjoys watching Alex Colome pitch, then they enjoy rain delays. At least Hendriks throws the ball fairly frequently.?

White Sox (Hendriks) v. Twins (Colome)
Making bigtime sense here, just 'cuz it's so, so true. Not going to get an audience from the "You always get what you pay for" crowd, but it's still true. You and I must belong to the "You always get what you pay for, except when you don't get what you pay for" crowd. Remember when the bozo we called Juan Disgusto added a new pitch and became the hottest reliever in the NL? RP's are a tricky bunch to evaluate.

Tigers @ Sox
Take it back to G2 and 3 of the 2020 playoffs. He gets a hit in either one and it's a different world.

Robert to injured list, dtd, has flu-like symptoms as of Monday night
For certain, it's very good at preventing fatalities.

Madrigal.
It wasn't even a safety squeeze because he didn't take off as soon as the bunt hit the ground, but delayed until the fielder tuned to first base. Good baserunning. Wears #1, reminds me of Lance Johnson in the 9 hole.

That’s a Nicky Two Strikes Winner!!
A big part of his "bad luck" is that he's hitting into half of a baseball diamond covered by four infielders. I'm not being sarcastic here, but I don't know if the advanced stats consider that. OK, I am a Neanderthal. ?
-
That’s a Nicky Two Strikes Winner!!
If this is supposed to make me think that a .130 hitter is good, it isn't working. So call me a Neanderthal. ?
-
That’s a Nicky Two Strikes Winner!!
Exactly what I was thinking. Tony watched Grandal bunt during spring training and knew that he could, two sac bunts for his career be damned. A few of our bunting bozos could take a lesson from Yas. More importantly, this thread has degenerated into The Big Bunting Argument Revisited, which is why I love White Sox fans in general and you guys in particular.

That’s a Nicky Two Strikes Winner!!
Took the bat out of Yermin's hands. Took the DP out of a .130 hitter's hands. You choose. Don't get technical with me by asking what a .130 hitter's doing in the lineup. ?

Sox @ Cleveland
Francona too. Big noses a problem?

4-19 GT: Sox @ Boston (10:10am)
Did you notice that the change was almost straight? In the past it's had wicked left to right movement. Maybe that's the difference. I'll grant you that pitch location was a minor part of the problem today.

The Andrew Vaughn LF Thread
Lotta cheap shots at Eloy for a Vaughn thread. His routes weren't that bad. All right, coming in on a short ball you may have a point.

Cease to IL/Burdi Recalled - COVID symptoms but no positive test
If Coach Katz can get this waste of talent (Burdi) straightened out he is truly a miracle worker. I'll believe it when I see it.
