  1. ? Sportsguy gonna bust in here like Kool-Aid man and start lecturing you.
  2. Since Preller is such a gunslinger of a GM, I say trade all of Robert Jr, Crochet, Fedde, Pham, DeJong and Kopech to San Diego for Salas, Merrill and Petco Park.
  3. Ahhh, thought it was Crochet tonight. Ok we’re back in business.
  4. I wanna believe in them, but they're totally gonna screw this up and win tonight.
  5. 21 under after tonight’s game
  6. My god the cubs suck.
  7. Ohtani's got nothing on this NO ONE guy.
  8. That's just what happens when you catch every single team at the wrong time.
  9. Yes? He is bad at his job and bad for the organization AND the team and organization sucks. One of those problems is easier to address than the other.
  10. I mean he's not exactly being held accountable while being here. Unless you consider making him sit through more games as punishment, in which case, yeah you're probably right.
  11. 2028. Not because I believe in the team, but because I believe baseball is a very weird sport.
  12. Mentioned this in the Schriffen thread, but I finally realized what bothers me the most about his game calling so far.
  13. The homerish thing about Schriffen that bothers me is not his calls. I grew up watching Hawk. It’s fine, whatever. What bothers me is that he seems to barely know or say anything about the opposing team or players. It seems that, to him, every opposing player is just “some guy on the team that’s trying to beat MY team.” No acknowledgment of other stars or anything at all in a larger context than just White Sox baseball. This makes the broadcast extremely one-sided and boring for me. But sure, let’s hear for the 70th time how Sheets is putting in more work in RF.
  14. Also the theme of the 2024 White Sox
  15. Also, if true, the mystery owner sucks just as bad as JR.
  16. I feel like Pham is one of the few where it's not a fake tough guy routine at all. Dude is intense and I think actually wants to fight.
  17. I actually didn’t mind Pham’s reaction. He’s an intense dude, it’s heat of the moment, whatever. But Schriffen’s call felt like some sort of staged pro wrestling announcer outrage thing. I have no idea what slam ball is, but that’s what I imagine 80% of slam ball calls to be like.
  18. I’ve been pretty neutral on Schriffen, because really who cares, but that was all kinds of cringe. I think I actually made this face the entire clip ?
  19. I have all kinds of patience for someone learning on the job, but his lack of ability to read the room is what’s been turning me off about him. Its a very basic skill that has nothing to do with his inexperience with the Sox or baseball as a whole.
  20. I can only recall Reylo, but wouldn’t be surprised if there were others.
  21. The only advanced stat I care about is CAR: Culture Above Replacement. And when the CAR goes FASTS, we're rolling baby.
  22. "I don't even come close to looking at the internet" - Pedro Grifol, probably definitely
  23. The idea of it getting better, as realistic or unrealistic as that may seem. Even the most pessimistic of us still gotta dream.
  24. Our clubhouse is very good. There is wifi and nice snacks.
  25. I mean if you’re spending two hours watching a Sox game, you’re probably gonna be miserable regardless, so who cares? Also, I’m assuming anyone that’s hoping the Sox lose isn’t actually watching full games start to finish.
